Converting Turkish Lira into TRON explained
This page follows the rate for Turkish Lira (TRY) and TRON (TRX) and sets it next to what real providers charge to convert one into the other. As of October 31, 2026, one TRY is worth 0.061829 TRX, and one TRX is worth 16.1736 TRY.
The figure at the top is the interbank mid rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy TRY and the price at which they sell it. Treat it as a neutral benchmark: no fee or margin is built in, which is exactly why consumers almost never receive it in full.
What you actually receive comes down to two separate costs: the margin a provider adds to that rate and the visible transfer or service fee. In the sections below we take those costs apart, show how they add up on a real amount and share simple habits to lose less on the exchange when converting TRY to TRX.
Exchange rate markup and fees on TRY/TRX
Nearly every bank and app do not convert at the mid-market rate itself. Instead they shift the rate in their own favour and keep the difference. People call this the spread. A markup of 2%, for example, means that you lose roughly 2 TRY on every 100 TRY, without it ever appearing as a fee.
On top of the margin, most banks add a visible fee. This is usually a fixed amount per transfer, a percentage of the amount or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad extra deductions can follow, which shrinks the amount that finally arrives.
Be wary of anything sold as commission-free. The cost often sits in the rate instead. The only fair way to compare is how much TRX the recipient ends up with for exactly the same sum, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
How our TRY/TRX comparison works
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, which gives the amount the recipient receives. We do this for 2 providers, placed side by side.
Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, with October 31, 2026 as the reference date. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, since markets keep moving.
No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. We may earn a commission through some links. The order is never affected by them: the only ranking criterion is the amount received.
Turkish Lira against TRON: the last twelve months
Compared with a year ago, the TRY/TRX rate shows a change of -23.99%. In that period the top of the range was 0.086681 TRX per TRY, while the lowest was 0.058083. At 0.061829, the rate today is easy to place within that band.
The spread between the year’s extremes shows how much the rate can move in practice. For a bigger amount, timing has a visible effect on the outcome, occasionally more than the difference between providers.
Exchange rates respond to interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you want to act on a certain rate, it is more practical to set an alert than to guess.
Larger transfers: what to check first
Check the provider’s licence first. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own, which protects you if something goes wrong.
Verify every detail of the recipient. Mistakes are rarely fixed quickly with transfers abroad. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details. Verify through a channel you trust.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, for example a contract of sale or an account statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
50,000.00 TRY to TRX, step by step
Let’s use an amount of 50,000.00 TRY. Using the reference rate of 0.061829, that sum sets the ceiling for what the recipient could get. In practice nobody hands over that full amount, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.
Of the 2 providers we compared, Revolut delivered the most and paid out 3,045.40 TRX at the time of our last update. The gap between 3,045.40 TRX and the theoretical maximum is what the conversion actually cost you.
Bear in mind that the cheapest provider for 50,000.00 TRY is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Run your own figure through the converter and check whether the order changes.
Crypto spreads, network fees and custody
With crypto, the price you pay depends heavily on where you trade. On a trading platform, you deal with a spread between the highest bid and the lowest ask, and a commission per trade. Simple broker apps often show one price which hides a wider spread.
If you withdraw coins to a wallet, a network fee applies. It is unrelated to how much you move, so it weighs more on small transactions. Make sure the sending and receiving side use the same network: coins sent over the wrong network can be lost.
Volatility is much higher than with regular currencies. A displayed price may be fixed only for a few seconds, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. Treat the figure above as an indication.
Also decide who holds the keys. Coins kept on an exchange are held by that exchange, whereas in your own wallet you are fully responsible for the keys. Look for registration with a financial supervisor before you deposit.
Getting the most TRX for your TRY
Look at the final amount, not just the fee. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive when the margin is high. The number that matters is the amount received, and that already includes both margin and fee.
When you pay by card abroad, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Choose the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.
Timing can also matter. Rates quoted on a Saturday or Sunday can include a weekend surcharge. When there is no deadline, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once TRY/TRX reaches a level you choose. It takes the guesswork out, but the target may never be reached.
Also check how you fund the transfer. Paying by credit card can trigger extra charges, and funding by bank transfer tends to keep costs down. Sending less often but in larger amounts means fixed charges hit you fewer times.
