AUD to PHP explained
This overview follows the rate for Australian Dollar (AUD) and Philippine Peso (PHP) and compares it with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 30, 2026, 1 AUD equals 44.7654 PHP, and a single PHP equals 0.022339 AUD.
That headline number is the mid-market rate. It sits exactly halfway between what wholesale traders pay for AUD and what they ask for it. Treat it as the cleanest reference you can get: nobody earns anything on it directly, and that is why you rarely get it as a private customer.
What ends up on the PHP side comes down to two separate costs: the margin a provider adds to that rate and any fixed or percentage fee. Further down we explain how those costs work, show how they add up on a real amount and give concrete ways to keep more of your money when converting AUD to PHP.
How GoldexPay compares AUD to PHP providers
Every calculation begins with the mid-market rate of 44.7654. Each provider’s published fee and markup are applied on top, to calculate what actually arrives in PHP. In total 8 providers are included, so you can see the differences at a glance.
Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, with October 30, 2026 as the reference date. The final price is always set by the provider itself, and it can differ slightly from our calculation.
No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. The order is never affected by them: providers are sorted purely by how much PHP the recipient gets.
Sending a larger amount from AUD to PHP
Only use providers that are regulated. Look for authorisation from the FCA in the UK or the financial regulator in your own country. Regulated firms have to safeguard client funds and that offers protection if the company fails.
Check names and account details twice. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Watch out for pressure, urgency or a last-minute change of account details. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.
For large amounts, expect extra checks. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, for example a contract of sale or an account statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.
Mid-market rate versus the rate you get
Nearly every bank and app do not convert at the mid-market rate as such. They quote a slightly worse rate and keep the difference. People call this the exchange rate margin. With a 2% markup, for instance, about 2 out of every 100 AUD never reach the recipient.
Besides the hidden margin, most banks ask for a separate fee. This is usually a flat charge per payment, a share of what you send or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad extra deductions can follow, so the recipient gets less than you expected.
Take a close look at offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". The cost often sits in the rate instead. What really counts is how much PHP the recipient ends up with for exactly the same sum, and that is the figure our table ranks on.
Paying less when you change AUD into PHP
Look at the final amount, not just the fee. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive if the rate is poor. The fairest figure to compare is how much PHP arrives for your AUD, which combines margin and fee.
When you pay by card abroad, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Pick the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.
Timing plays a role too. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. For transfers that can wait, you can set a target rate and let the provider convert only when it is reached. It saves you from checking the rate every day, though the target may never be reached.
Also check how you fund the transfer. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, and a plain bank transfer is normally the low-cost option. Bundling smaller transfers reduces what you pay in flat fees.
How AUD to PHP transfers travel
Your regular bank usually sends the money via the SWIFT system. Along the way one or more intermediary banks may handle it, each of which can deduct a charge. Delivery usually takes one to several working days, and the exact cost is not always clear in advance.
Many money transfer apps use a different model. They keep money in accounts in both regions, which means your payment and the payout both happen domestically. That is often faster and cheaper, and you see exactly what will arrive before you confirm.
Speed is not down to the provider alone: your payment method, cut-off times and public holidays on either side. New customers sometimes wait a little longer as the provider completes its checks. Get verified before you need to send if the money has to arrive on a set date.
The countries behind AUD and PHP
Australian Dollar is the currency of Australia. Philippine Peso is used in Philippines. Knowing this helps for anyone who earns in one of these currencies and spends in the other.
The reasons for changing AUD into PHP vary: rent or a mortgage abroad, tuition fees, a salary paid in another currency, savings or a holiday. Not every situation needs the same solution: a single big transfer calls for the best rate, while regular small amounts suffer more from flat charges.
Payout methods vary from country to country. Some recipients expect a bank account number with a local bank code, others an IBAN, and in some places mobile wallets or cash collection are widely used. Ask the recipient for the exact details in advance.
The AUD/PHP rate over twelve months
Compared with a year ago, the AUD/PHP rate has changed by +16.13%. During that year the top of the range was 45.2201 PHP for one AUD, and the low point came in at 37.9414. Today’s rate of 44.7654 is easy to place within that band.
That range between high and low puts the movement into real terms. For a bigger amount, the moment of conversion matters in actual money, sometimes more than the choice of provider.
Rates are pushed around by interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If timing matters to you, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
A worked example with 1,000.00 AUD
Consider a transfer of 1,000.00 AUD. Converted at the pure mid-market rate (44.7654), that sum sets the ceiling for what the recipient could get. No service pays out that exact figure, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.
Of the 8 providers we compared, Revolut came out cheapest for this amount and paid out 44,541.54 PHP at the time of our last update. The difference between that figure and the mid-market amount is the real price of the transfer.
Bear in mind that the cheapest provider for 1,000.00 AUD is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Try your actual amount in the calculator above and check whether the order changes.
