Every calculation begins with the mid-market rate of 3.8303. Each provider’s published fee and markup are applied on top, and work out how much TRX the recipient would end up with. We do this for 19 providers, placed side by side.

We update the rates every 30 minutes, with October 31, 2026 as the reference date. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, and it can differ slightly from our calculation, especially when markets are busy.

Looking at all 19 providers we track, Crypto.com came out cheapest for this amount: the recipient gets 3,825.56 TRX after all costs. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is the real price of the transfer.

Bear in mind that the cheapest provider for 1,000.00 XRP is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, while a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Run your own figure through the converter and check whether the order changes.

How XRP/TRX moved over the past year

Across the last year, the exchange rate shows a change of -54.08%. During that year the rate peaked at 8.5254 TRX for one XRP, and the lowest was 2.9905. The current 3.8303 sits somewhere inside that range.

That range between high and low shows how much the rate can move in practice. On a large conversion, timing has a visible effect on the outcome, occasionally more than the difference between providers.

The rate reflects news, economic data and supply and demand on the market. These figures describe the past and say nothing about what comes next. If timing matters to you, a rate alert is a calmer option than trying to predict the market.

Before you send: security and large amounts

Make sure the provider is licensed. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own.

Double-check the recipient details before you confirm. Once money has left, getting it back is difficult. Watch out for pressure, urgency or a last-minute change of account details. Verify through a channel you trust.

Big sums usually trigger extra verification. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, for example a contract of sale or an account statement. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.

How providers price XRP to TRX

The majority of services stay away from the mid-market rate as such. They quote a slightly worse rate and keep the difference. That gap is called the spread. If the margin is 2%, then about 2 out of every 100 XRP never reach the recipient.

On top of the margin, a lot of services add a visible fee. This is usually a fixed amount per transfer, a percentage of the amount or both at once. On classic bank transfers abroad the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, so the recipient gets less than you expected.

Look twice at offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". The cost often sits in the rate instead. What really counts is how much TRX the recipient ends up with for the same amount of XRP, and that is the figure our table ranks on.

Getting the most TRX for your XRP

Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A small fee on its own says little because the margin can make up the difference. What you want to know is the amount received, which combines the markup and the fee.

At foreign tills and cash machines, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. It usually comes with a steep markup. Pick the local currency so your bank or card issuer handles the exchange.

Timing plays a role too. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. When there is no deadline, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once XRP/TRX reaches a level you choose. It takes the guesswork out, though the target may never be reached.

Finally, look at how you pay. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, while a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Bundling smaller transfers also cuts the impact of fixed fees.

Buying or selling crypto: XRP to TRX
