Converting Euro into USD Coin at a glance

This page brings together the price relationship between Euro (EUR) and USD Coin (USDC), together with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 30, 2026, one EUR is worth 1.1171 USDC, and a single USDC is worth 0.895170 EUR.

That headline number is the mid-market rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy EUR and the price at which they sell it. It works as a neutral benchmark: it contains no profit margin and no fees, which is exactly why consumers almost never receive it in full.

What ends up on the USDC side comes down to two separate costs: the margin a provider adds to that rate and the fee you see on the order screen. Below the converter and chart we take those costs apart, show how they add up on a real amount and give concrete ways to keep more of your money when you swap Euro for USD Coin.

What banks and apps really charge for EUR to USDC

The majority of services do not convert at the rate of 1.1171 as such. Instead they shift the rate in their own favour and pocket the gap. That gap is called the markup. A markup of 2%, for example, means that about 2 out of every 100 EUR never reach the recipient.

Next to that markup, many providers charge an explicit fee. That can be a flat charge per payment, a percentage of the amount or both at once. On classic bank transfers abroad the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, so the recipient gets less than you expected.

Be wary of anything sold as commission-free. The cost often sits in the rate instead. The only fair way to compare is the total amount that arrives in USDC for exactly the same sum, and that is the figure our table ranks on.

What to know about EUR/USDC on crypto platforms

With crypto, the price you pay depends heavily on where you trade. On an exchange with an order book, there is a gap between the buy and sell price, the spread, and a commission per trade. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price which hides a wider spread.

When you move crypto to or from your own wallet, you pay a network or withdrawal fee. That fee does not depend on the amount, so it weighs more on small transactions. Always check which network a platform uses: mistakes here are rarely reversible.

The price of a crypto asset can swing hard in a short time. A quote is often only valid for a short moment, while large trades risk slippage. Use the rate here as a guide, not as a binding quote.

Think about custody as well. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, while a personal wallet puts the responsibility, and the risk of losing access, on you. Look for registration with a financial supervisor before you deposit.

One year of EUR to USDC

Across the last year, the price of EUR in USDC shows a change of -3.32%. During that year the highest level was 1.1980 USDC per EUR, while the lowest was 1.1140. At 1.1171, the rate today is easy to place within that band.

The spread between the year’s extremes shows how much the rate can move in practice. For a bigger amount, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, even when the fee stays the same.

Exchange rates respond to interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If you are waiting for a particular level, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.

Staying safe with bigger EUR to USDC transfers

Only use providers that are regulated. A regulated provider is registered with a supervisor such as the FCA or your national central bank. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own and that offers protection if the company fails.

Check names and account details twice. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Unexpected changes to payment details are a classic warning sign. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.

Larger transfers often come with additional questions. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. Some providers lower their margin on request for larger customers. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.

How we rank providers for EUR to USDC

We start from the live mid-market rate for EUR/USDC. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, which gives the amount the recipient receives. In total 20 providers are included, ranked from most to least received.

Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, and the date on the page shows when the data was last updated. The final price is always set by the provider itself, because their rate can move between our updates, especially when markets are busy.

No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. We may earn a commission through some links, which help fund our work. That never changes the ranking: the only ranking criterion is the amount received.

A worked example with 1,000.00 EUR

Take a transfer of 1,000.00 EUR. At the mid-market rate of 1.1171, you can work out the upper limit of what the recipient could get. No service pays out that exact figure, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.

Across the 20 providers in our comparison, Crypto.com gave the best result and paid out 1,115.71 USDC after all costs. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is what the conversion actually cost you.

Bear in mind that a different amount can produce a different winner. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Try your actual amount in the calculator above and check whether the order changes.

How to get a better EUR to USDC rate

Look at the final amount, not just the fee. A small fee on its own says little when the margin is high. The number that matters is how much USDC arrives for your EUR, and that already includes both margin and fee.

At foreign tills and cash machines, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Pick the local currency so your bank or card issuer handles the exchange.

Timing plays a role too. Rates quoted on a Saturday or Sunday can include a weekend surcharge. When there is no deadline, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once EUR/USDC reaches a level you choose. It saves you from checking the rate every day, but there is no guarantee the rate will get there.

Also check how you fund the transfer. Paying by credit card can trigger extra charges, and a plain bank transfer is normally the low-cost option. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer means fixed charges hit you fewer times.
