Converting Euro into Tether: what you are looking at
This page follows the exchange rate between Euro (EUR) and Tether (USDT) and sets it next to what real providers charge to convert one into the other. As of October 30, 2026, 1 EUR buys 1.1184 USDT, and a single USDT is worth 0.894144 EUR.
The figure at the top is the mid-market rate. It sits exactly halfway between what wholesale traders pay for EUR and what they ask for it. Think of it as a fair reference point: it contains no profit margin and no fees, so few consumer services pass it on unchanged.
The amount that lands in the other account comes down to two separate costs: a markup hidden in the exchange rate and the fee you see on the order screen. Further down we take those costs apart, put them side by side and list practical steps to lose less on the exchange when you swap Euro for Tether.
Exchange rate markup and fees on EUR/USDT
Most providers will not give you the mid-market rate itself. They shift the rate in their own favour and pocket the gap. This is known as the exchange rate margin. If the margin is 2%, then about 2 out of every 100 EUR never reach the recipient.
On top of the margin, most banks add a visible fee. This is usually a flat charge per payment, a percentage of the amount or both at once. On classic bank transfers abroad the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, which shrinks the amount that finally arrives.
Take a close look at anything sold as commission-free. The cost often sits in the rate instead. The only fair way to compare is how much USDT the recipient ends up with for the same amount of EUR, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
Crypto spreads, network fees and custody
Where you convert matters a lot with crypto. On a trading platform, you deal with a spread between the highest bid and the lowest ask, on top of a maker or taker fee. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price with the margin already included.
When you move crypto to or from your own wallet, a network fee applies. It is unrelated to how much you move, so for small amounts it can be a large share. Always check which network a platform uses: a mismatch can mean the funds never arrive.
The price of a crypto asset can swing hard in a short time. Quoted prices tend to expire quickly, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. Treat the figure above as an indication.
Custody is another point to consider. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, while a personal wallet puts the responsibility, and the risk of losing access, on you. Use platforms that are registered with the regulator in your country.
Safety checks before you convert EUR to USDT
Make sure the provider is licensed. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own, which protects you if something goes wrong.
Check names and account details twice. Once money has left, getting it back is difficult. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details. Verify through a channel you trust.
Larger transfers often come with additional questions. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, like a statement or a sales contract. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
Getting the most USDT for your EUR
Judge on what arrives, not on what is advertised. A low headline fee proves nothing when the margin is high. What you want to know is how much USDT arrives for your EUR, which combines the markup and the fee.
At foreign tills and cash machines, you may be asked whether to pay in EUR or in the local currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Always opt to pay in the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.
Watch the timing as well. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. For transfers that can wait, an alert tells you when the rate hits a level you are happy with. It takes the guesswork out, though there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
Also check how you fund the transfer. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, while a plain bank transfer is normally the low-cost option. Bundling smaller transfers also cuts the impact of fixed fees.
Recent movement in the EUR/USDT rate
Across the last year, the EUR/USDT rate shows a change of -3.17%. During that year the rate peaked at 1.1986 USDT per EUR, while the low point came in at 1.1145. The current 1.1184 can be measured against those two levels.
That range between high and low shows how much the rate can move in practice. When you convert a substantial sum, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, even when the fee stays the same.
Exchange rates respond to interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If you are waiting for a particular level, a rate alert is a calmer option than trying to predict the market.
Sample calculation for 1,000.00 EUR
Consider a conversion of 1,000.00 EUR. Converted at the pure mid-market rate (1.1184), that sum sets the ceiling for what is possible on the USDT side. No service pays out that exact figure, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.
Of the 20 providers we compared, Crypto.com delivered the most and paid out 1,116.99 USDT after all costs. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount shows the true cost, fees and margin combined.
Bear in mind that the cheapest provider for 1,000.00 EUR is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, while a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Run your own figure through the converter to see the ranking that applies to you.
How we rank providers for EUR to USDT
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, which gives the amount the recipient receives. In total 20 providers are included, ranked from most to least received.
The figures refresh every half hour, and the date on the page shows when the data was last updated. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, and it can differ slightly from our calculation.
We are not owned by any provider. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help fund our work. That never changes the ranking: the only ranking criterion is the amount received.
