USDT to TRY explained
This page tracks the price relationship between Tether (USDT) and Turkish Lira (TRY) and sets it next to the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 30, 2026, one USDT is worth 49.9049 TRY, while 1 TRY is worth 0.020038 USDT.
That headline number is the mid-market rate. It is the midpoint between the buying and selling prices on the wholesale market. Treat it as the cleanest reference you can get: it contains no profit margin and no fees, so consumers almost never receive it in full.
What ends up on the TRY side comes down to two separate costs: a markup hidden in the exchange rate and the visible transfer or service fee. Further down we take those costs apart, put them side by side and give concrete ways to lose less on the exchange when you swap Tether for Turkish Lira.
Why we compare total cost
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. Each provider’s published fee and markup are applied on top, and work out how much TRY the recipient would end up with. In total 2 providers are included, placed side by side.
Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, so the page reflects the market of October 30, 2026. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, and it can differ slightly from our calculation, especially when markets are busy.
No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. Some links on this page are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. They have no influence on the order: the provider that delivers the most TRY comes first, whether or not we have a link to it.
A worked example with 1,000.00 USDT
Take an amount of 1,000.00 USDT. At the mid-market rate of 49.9049, you can work out the upper limit of what is possible on the TRY side. In practice nobody hands over that full amount, because margins and fees come off first.
Looking at all 2 providers we track, Revolut delivered the most, with 49,161.35 TRY after all costs. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is the real price of the transfer.
Bear in mind that a different amount can produce a different winner. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, whereas the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Run your own figure through the converter and check whether the order changes.
Tips for converting USDT to TRY
Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A small fee on its own says little because the margin can make up the difference. What you want to know is the amount received, and that already includes both the markup and the fee.
If you pay or withdraw cash in a TRY country, you may be asked whether to pay in USDT or in the local currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Pick the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.
Timing can also matter. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. For transfers that can wait, you can set a target rate and let the provider convert only when it is reached. It saves you from checking the rate every day, though the target may never be reached.
The payment method matters as well. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, and funding by bank transfer tends to keep costs down. Bundling smaller transfers means fixed charges hit you fewer times.
Recent movement in the USDT/TRY rate
Compared with a year ago, the exchange rate moved by +18.82%. During that year the highest level was 49.9049 TRY per USDT, and the lowest was 41.9755. The current 49.9049 can be measured against those two levels.
The distance between the high and the low is a useful reminder of how far the rate can travel. When you convert a substantial sum, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, sometimes more than the choice of provider.
Exchange rates respond to news, economic data and supply and demand on the market. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If you want to act on a certain rate, it is more practical to set an alert than to guess.
Sending a larger amount from USDT to TRY
Make sure the provider is licensed. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own, which protects you if something goes wrong.
Verify every detail of the recipient. Mistakes are rarely fixed quickly with transfers abroad. Unexpected changes to payment details are a classic warning sign: confirm by phone using a number you already know.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. Have documents ready that show where the money came from, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. A rate lock, where offered, removes uncertainty while the money is on its way.
How providers price USDT to TRY
Most providers will not give you the mid-market rate as such. Instead they shift the rate in their own favour and pocket the gap. People call this the exchange rate margin. If the margin is 2%, then you lose roughly 2 USDT on every 100 USDT, without it ever appearing as a fee.
Besides the hidden margin, most banks add a visible fee. That can be a flat charge per payment, a share of what you send or a mix of both. For transfers sent through the banking network other banks along the route may take their own cut, so the recipient gets less than you expected.
Look twice at offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. What really counts is how much TRY the recipient ends up with for the same amount of USDT, and that is the figure our table ranks on.
Crypto spreads, network fees and custody
Where you convert matters a lot with crypto. On an exchange with an order book, there is a gap between the buy and sell price, the spread, on top of a maker or taker fee. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price that has the cost baked in.
Withdrawing crypto from a platform, a network fee applies. It is often a fixed amount regardless of the size of the transfer, so for small amounts it can be a large share. Always check which network a platform uses: mistakes here are rarely reversible.
The price of a crypto asset can swing hard in a short time. A quote is often only valid for a short moment, and on large orders the execution price can slip. Use the rate here as a guide, not as a binding quote.
Also decide who holds the keys. Coins kept on an exchange are held by that exchange, whereas in your own wallet you are fully responsible for the keys. Use platforms that are registered with the regulator in your country.
