BTC to PLN at a glance
This page follows the price relationship between Bitcoin (BTC) and Polish Zloty (PLN), together with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. At the latest update on October 30, 2026, 1 BTC equals 300,638.54 PLN, while 1 PLN comes to 0.0000033263 BTC.
That headline number is the mid-market rate. It is the midpoint between the buying and selling prices on the wholesale market. Treat it as the cleanest reference you can get: nobody earns anything on it directly, so you rarely get it as a private customer.
What ends up on the PLN side comes down to two things: the gap between the provider’s rate and the mid-market rate and the visible transfer or service fee. In the sections below we take those costs apart, show how they add up on a real amount and list practical steps to keep more of your money when you change BTC into PLN.
How our BTC/PLN comparison works
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, to calculate what actually arrives in PLN. We do this for 2 providers, ranked from most to least received.
The figures refresh every half hour, and the date on the page shows when the data was last updated. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, and it can differ slightly from our calculation.
No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. We may earn a commission through some links. They have no influence on the order: the only ranking criterion is the amount received.
What banks and apps really charge for BTC to PLN
Nearly every bank and app stay away from the mid-market rate itself. Instead they offer a rate that is a little less favourable and keep the difference. That gap is called the spread. With a 2% markup, for instance, for every 100 BTC you convert, about 2 BTC worth disappears before the money arrives.
Besides the hidden margin, a lot of services charge an explicit fee. That can be a fixed amount per transfer, a share of what you send or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad other banks along the route may take their own cut, so the recipient gets less than you expected.
Be wary of offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". The cost often sits in the rate instead. The reliable test is the final PLN figure for the same amount of BTC, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
Bitcoin against Polish Zloty: the last twelve months
Compared with a year ago, the BTC/PLN rate has changed by -25.61%. During that year the highest level was 408,276.24 PLN per BTC, and the low point came in at 220,897.96. The current 300,638.54 is easy to place within that band.
That range between high and low is a useful reminder of how far the rate can travel. For a bigger amount, the moment of conversion matters in actual money, even when the fee stays the same.
The rate reflects interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you are waiting for a particular level, a rate alert is a calmer option than trying to predict the market.
Buying or selling crypto: BTC to PLN
Crypto prices differ from platform to platform. On a trading platform, you pay the difference between bid and ask, plus a trading fee. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price that has the cost baked in.
Withdrawing crypto from a platform, a network fee applies. It is unrelated to how much you move, so it weighs more on small transactions. Make sure the sending and receiving side use the same network: mistakes here are rarely reversible.
Crypto prices can move sharply within minutes. Quoted prices tend to expire quickly, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. Use the rate here as a guide, not as a binding quote.
Also decide who holds the keys. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, whereas in your own wallet you are fully responsible for the keys. Look for registration with a financial supervisor before you deposit.
Sample calculation for 0.0100 BTC
Consider an amount of 0.0100 BTC. At the mid-market rate of 300,638.54, that marks the theoretical maximum of what the recipient could get. In reality every provider keeps something, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.
Of the 2 providers we compared, Revolut came out cheapest for this amount, with 2,961.59 PLN in the end. The difference between that figure and the mid-market amount is the real price of the transfer.
Bear in mind that the cheapest provider for 0.0100 BTC is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, while the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Run your own figure through the converter and check whether the order changes.
Tips for converting BTC to PLN
Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A low headline fee proves nothing when the margin is high. What you want to know is the amount received, which combines the markup and the fee.
When you pay by card abroad, you can get a choice between your own currency and the local one. That option is known as dynamic currency conversion, or DCC. The rate used is usually poor. Always opt to pay in the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.
Watch the timing as well. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. If you are not in a hurry, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once BTC/PLN reaches a level you choose. It saves you from checking the rate every day, but there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
Finally, look at how you pay. Paying by credit card can trigger extra charges, and a plain bank transfer is normally the low-cost option. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer reduces what you pay in flat fees.
Before you send: security and large amounts
Only use providers that are regulated. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Regulated firms have to safeguard client funds.
Check names and account details twice. Once money has left, getting it back is difficult. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. Have documents ready that show where the money came from, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.
