SOL to ADA explained
This page tracks the rate for Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) and sets it next to what real providers charge to convert one into the other. As of October 31, 2026, 1 SOL equals 492.0068 ADA, and a single ADA is worth 0.00203249 SOL.
The figure at the top is the mid-market rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy SOL and the price at which they sell it. Think of it as the cleanest reference you can get: it contains no profit margin and no fees, so you rarely get it as a private customer.
What you actually receive is shaped by two separate costs: a markup hidden in the exchange rate and the fee you see on the order screen. Below the converter and chart we take those costs apart, put them side by side and list practical steps to get closer to the mid-market rate when converting SOL to ADA.
What 10.0000 SOL gets you in ADA
Consider a conversion of 10.0000 SOL. Using the reference rate of 492.0068, you can work out the upper limit of what the recipient could get. No service pays out that exact figure, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.
Looking at all 20 providers we track, Crypto.com delivered the most: the recipient gets 4,913.92 ADA after all costs. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is what the conversion actually cost you.
Note that a different amount can produce a different winner. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Try your actual amount in the calculator above to see the ranking that applies to you.
How GoldexPay compares SOL to ADA providers
We start from the live mid-market rate for SOL/ADA. We then apply each provider’s published fees and exchange rate margin, which gives the amount the recipient receives. In total 20 providers are included, so you can see the differences at a glance.
We update the rates every 30 minutes, with October 31, 2026 as the reference date. The final price is always set by the provider itself, because their rate can move between our updates.
We are not owned by any provider. Some of the links are affiliate links. That never changes the ranking: providers are sorted purely by how much ADA the recipient gets.
Mid-market rate versus the rate you get
Nearly every bank and app will not give you the mid-market rate itself. They quote a slightly worse rate and pocket the gap. That gap is called the exchange rate margin. With a 2% markup, for instance, about 2 out of every 100 SOL never reach the recipient.
Besides the hidden margin, many providers charge an explicit fee. This is usually a fixed amount per transfer, a share of what you send or a mix of both. For transfers sent through the banking network other banks along the route may take their own cut, so the recipient gets less than you expected.
Look twice at offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. What really counts is the final ADA figure for an identical SOL amount, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
Sending a larger amount from SOL to ADA
Only use providers that are regulated. A regulated provider is registered with a supervisor such as the FCA or your national central bank. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own.
Double-check the recipient details before you confirm. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Watch out for pressure, urgency or a last-minute change of account details. Verify through a channel you trust.
Larger transfers often come with additional questions. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, like a statement or a sales contract. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
Recent movement in the SOL/ADA rate
Compared with a year ago, the price of SOL in ADA shows a change of +60.25%. During that year the top of the range was 527.7515 ADA per SOL, while the bottom of the range was 272.9663. The current 492.0068 can be measured against those two levels.
The spread between the year’s extremes shows how much the rate can move in practice. When you convert a substantial sum, timing has a visible effect on the outcome, sometimes more than the choice of provider.
Exchange rates respond to interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If timing matters to you, a rate alert is a calmer option than trying to predict the market.
Getting the most ADA for your SOL
Judge on what arrives, not on what is advertised. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive because the margin can make up the difference. The fairest figure to compare is the amount received, which combines the markup and the fee.
At foreign tills and cash machines, you can get a choice between your own currency and the local one. This is called dynamic currency conversion. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Pick the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.
Watch the timing as well. Rates quoted on a Saturday or Sunday can include a weekend surcharge. For transfers that can wait, you can set a target rate and let the provider convert only when it is reached. It takes the guesswork out, but the target may never be reached.
Finally, look at how you pay. Paying by credit card can trigger extra charges, while a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Sending less often but in larger amounts reduces what you pay in flat fees.
Crypto spreads, network fees and custody
With crypto, the price you pay depends heavily on where you trade. On a trading platform, you deal with a spread between the highest bid and the lowest ask, on top of a maker or taker fee. Simple broker apps often show one price which hides a wider spread.
If you withdraw coins to a wallet, there is a separate network charge. It is unrelated to how much you move, so it weighs more on small transactions. Always check which network a platform uses: a mismatch can mean the funds never arrive.
Volatility is much higher than with regular currencies. Quoted prices tend to expire quickly, while large trades risk slippage. Treat the figure above as an indication.
Custody is another point to consider. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, while a personal wallet puts the responsibility, and the risk of losing access, on you. Look for registration with a financial supervisor before you deposit.
