Solana to USD Coin explained
The page you are reading follows the price relationship between Solana (SOL) and USD Coin (USDC), together with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 31, 2026, 1 SOL equals 96.6223 USDC, while one USDC is worth 0.010350 SOL.
The figure at the top is the mid-market rate, sometimes called the interbank rate. It is the midpoint between the price at which large banks buy SOL and the price at which they sell it. Treat it as the cleanest reference you can get: no fee or margin is built in, and that is why few consumer services pass it on unchanged.
The amount that lands in the other account depends on two things: the gap between the provider’s rate and the mid-market rate and the fee you see on the order screen. Further down we take those costs apart, show how they add up on a real amount and give concrete ways to keep more of your money when converting SOL to USDC.
Sending a larger amount from SOL to USDC
Check the provider’s licence first. Look for authorisation from the FCA in the UK or the financial regulator in your own country. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own and that offers protection if the company fails.
Check names and account details twice. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Unexpected changes to payment details are a classic warning sign. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, like a statement or a sales contract. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.
Paying less when you change SOL into USDC
Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A small fee on its own says little if the rate is poor. What you want to know is the amount received, and that already includes both the markup and the fee.
When you pay by card abroad, you can get a choice between your own currency and the local one. The trade name for this is dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Choose the local currency so your bank or card issuer handles the exchange.
Watch the timing as well. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. For transfers that can wait, you can set a target rate and let the provider convert only when it is reached. It takes the guesswork out, though the target may never be reached.
The payment method matters as well. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, and a plain bank transfer is normally the low-cost option. Sending less often but in larger amounts means fixed charges hit you fewer times.
Exchange rate markup and fees on SOL/USDC
Most providers will not give you the mid-market rate itself. Instead they offer a rate that is a little less favourable and earn on the difference. People call this the markup. A markup of 2%, for example, means that you lose roughly 2 SOL on every 100 SOL, without it ever appearing as a fee.
Next to that markup, a lot of services ask for a separate fee. This is usually a fixed amount per transfer, a share of what you send or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, and those only show up at the end.
Look twice at offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. The only fair way to compare is the final USDC figure for the same amount of SOL, which is how the table above is sorted.
Converting SOL to USDC as a crypto pair
Where you convert matters a lot with crypto. On an exchange with an order book, there is a gap between the buy and sell price, the spread, plus a trading fee. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price that has the cost baked in.
If you withdraw coins to a wallet, you pay a network or withdrawal fee. It is often a fixed amount regardless of the size of the transfer, so it weighs more on small transactions. Double-check the network before you send: mistakes here are rarely reversible.
The price of a crypto asset can swing hard in a short time. A displayed price may be fixed only for a few seconds, while large trades risk slippage. Treat the figure above as an indication.
Custody is another point to consider. On a platform, someone else manages the private keys, while a personal wallet puts the responsibility, and the risk of losing access, on you. Check that a platform is registered or licensed with a financial regulator where you live.
A worked example with 10.0000 SOL
Let’s use an amount of 10.0000 SOL. Converted at the pure mid-market rate (96.6223), that marks the theoretical maximum of what is possible on the USDC side. No service pays out that exact figure, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.
Across the 20 providers in our comparison, Crypto.com came out cheapest for this amount and paid out 965.02 USDC at the time of our last update. The gap between 965.02 USDC and the theoretical maximum shows the true cost, fees and margin combined.
Note that rankings shift with the amount you send. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Try your actual amount in the calculator above and check whether the order changes.
Recent movement in the SOL/USDC rate
Over the past twelve months, the price of SOL in USDC has changed by -47.64%. Within those twelve months the top of the range was 187.7285 USDC per SOL, and the bottom of the range was 62.1417. At 96.6223, the rate today sits somewhere inside that range.
That range between high and low is a useful reminder of how far the rate can travel. On a large conversion, the moment of conversion matters in actual money, occasionally more than the difference between providers.
Exchange rates respond to central bank policy, economic data and shifts in risk appetite. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you are waiting for a particular level, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
How our SOL/USDC comparison works
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, to calculate what actually arrives in USDC. The comparison covers 20 providers, so you can see the differences at a glance.
The figures refresh every half hour, and the date on the page shows when the data was last updated. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, because their rate can move between our updates, especially when markets are busy.
GoldexPay is independent. We may earn a commission through some links, which help pay for the site. That never changes the ranking: providers are sorted purely by how much USDC the recipient gets.
