The XAG/CZK exchange rate: what you are looking at
The page you are reading brings together the exchange rate between Silver (XAG) and Czech Koruna (CZK), together with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 31, 2026, 1 XAG equals 1,075.82 CZK, while one CZK equals 0.00092953 XAG.
The rate shown above is the mid-market rate. It is the midpoint between what wholesale traders pay for XAG and what they ask for it. It works as a neutral benchmark: no fee or margin is built in, so you rarely get it as a private customer.
The amount that lands in the other account is shaped by two things: the margin a provider adds to that rate and the fee you see on the order screen. In the sections below we take those costs apart, put them side by side and list practical steps to lose less on the exchange when you change XAG into CZK.
One year of XAG to CZK
Compared with a year ago, the exchange rate has changed by -32.63%. During that year the highest level was 1,858.42 CZK for one XAG, while the bottom of the range was 1,075.82. Today’s rate of 1,075.82 can be measured against those two levels.
That range between high and low puts the movement into real terms. On a large conversion, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, occasionally more than the difference between providers.
Exchange rates respond to central bank policy, economic data and shifts in risk appetite. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If timing matters to you, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
How we rank providers for XAG to CZK
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. We then apply each provider’s published fees and exchange rate margin, and work out how much CZK the recipient would end up with. We do this for 0 providers, so you can see the differences at a glance.
Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, and the date on the page shows when the data was last updated. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, and it can differ slightly from our calculation.
GoldexPay is independent. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help fund our work. That never changes the ranking: the provider that delivers the most CZK comes first, whether or not we have a link to it.
What banks and apps really charge for XAG to CZK
The majority of services stay away from the rate of 1,075.82 itself. Instead they quote a slightly worse rate and earn on the difference. That gap is called the exchange rate margin. With a 2% markup, for instance, you lose roughly 2 XAG on every 100 XAG, without it ever appearing as a fee.
On top of the margin, many providers charge an explicit fee. It may be a flat charge per payment, a percentage of the amount or a mix of both. With international bank payments the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, and those only show up at the end.
Be wary of anything sold as commission-free. In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. The reliable test is how much CZK the recipient ends up with for exactly the same sum, which is how the table above is sorted.
Reading a gold or silver price
Precious metals are quoted per troy ounce, slightly heavier than a regular ounce, at around 31.1 grams. In currency notation, gold is XAU, silver XAG, platinum XPT and palladium XPD, so the metal behaves like one side of a currency pair. The figure above refers to one troy ounce.
The rate is based on the spot price: the price professionals pay for large quantities. Coins and small bars cost more than spot, because of manufacturing and dealer costs. When you sell, dealers usually pay somewhat below spot.
There are different ways to hold metal. Storing metal at home brings its own risks and costs. An allocated vault account charges an annual fee but keeps the metal in your name. Funds and certificates follow the price without you owning a bar directly.
Taxes can change the picture. In the EU, investment gold is generally exempt from VAT, while silver usually is not. The information here is meant as background, not as advice.
Before you send: security and large amounts
Check the provider’s licence first. A regulated provider is registered with a supervisor such as the FCA or your national central bank. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own and that offers protection if the company fails.
Check names and account details twice. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details: confirm by phone using a number you already know.
Larger transfers often come with additional questions. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, like a statement or a sales contract. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.
Paying less when you change XAG into CZK
Look at the final amount, not just the fee. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive when the margin is high. The fairest figure to compare is how much CZK arrives for your XAG, which combines margin and fee.
At foreign tills and cash machines, you can get a choice between your own currency and the local one. This is called dynamic currency conversion. It usually comes with a steep markup. Always opt to pay in the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.
Timing plays a role too. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. For transfers that can wait, an alert tells you when the rate hits a level you are happy with. That avoids guessing, but there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
The payment method matters as well. Card payments often cost more than a bank transfer, while a plain bank transfer is normally the low-cost option. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer reduces what you pay in flat fees.
