Converting Ethereum into Polish Zloty explained

This page brings together the rate for Ethereum (ETH) and Polish Zloty (PLN) and sets it next to the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. At the latest update on October 30, 2026, one ETH is worth 8,782.40 PLN, and one PLN comes to 0.00011386 ETH.

That headline number is the mid-market rate, sometimes called the interbank rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy ETH and the price at which they sell it. Think of it as a neutral benchmark: it contains no profit margin and no fees, which is exactly why you rarely get it as a private customer.

What ends up on the PLN side is shaped by two separate costs: the margin a provider adds to that rate and any fixed or percentage fee. Further down we explain how those costs work, put them side by side and give concrete ways to keep more of your money when you swap Ethereum for Polish Zloty.

One year of ETH to PLN

Compared with a year ago, the exchange rate has changed by -38.74%. In that period the rate peaked at 14,429.55 PLN for one ETH, and the lowest was 5,737.43. At 8,782.40, the rate today can be measured against those two levels.

That range between high and low is a useful reminder of how far the rate can travel. On a large conversion, the moment of conversion matters in actual money, occasionally more than the difference between providers.

Rates are pushed around by interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If you are waiting for a particular level, it is more practical to set an alert than to guess.

What banks and apps really charge for ETH to PLN

The majority of services do not convert at the rate of 8,782.40 as such. They shift the rate in their own favour and earn on the difference. That gap is called the spread. With a 2% markup, for instance, about 2 out of every 100 ETH never reach the recipient.

Besides the hidden margin, most banks add a visible fee. It may be a fixed amount per transfer, a share of what you send or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad extra deductions can follow, which shrinks the amount that finally arrives.

Take a close look at services that advertise free transfers. In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. The reliable test is how much PLN the recipient ends up with for an identical ETH amount, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.

A worked example with 0.5000 ETH

Consider a transfer of 0.5000 ETH. Using the reference rate of 8,782.40, that sum sets the ceiling for what any provider could deliver in PLN. In practice nobody hands over that full amount, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.

Across the 2 providers in our comparison, Revolut delivered the most: the recipient gets 4,325.77 PLN at the time of our last update. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is what the conversion actually cost you.

Note that the cheapest provider for 0.5000 ETH is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Enter your own amount in the converter for a ranking that fits your situation.

How we rank providers for ETH to PLN

Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, which gives the amount the recipient receives. We do this for 2 providers, placed side by side.

Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, so the page reflects the market of October 30, 2026. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, and it can differ slightly from our calculation.

GoldexPay is independent. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help fund our work. The order is never affected by them: the only ranking criterion is the amount received.

Safety checks before you convert ETH to PLN

Check the provider’s licence first. Look for authorisation from the FCA in the UK or the financial regulator in your own country. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own.

Verify every detail of the recipient. Mistakes are rarely fixed quickly with transfers abroad. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details: confirm by phone using a number you already know.

Big sums usually trigger extra verification. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.

Crypto spreads, network fees and custody

Where you convert matters a lot with crypto. On a trading platform, you deal with a spread between the highest bid and the lowest ask, on top of a maker or taker fee. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price with the margin already included.

If you withdraw coins to a wallet, there is a separate network charge. That fee does not depend on the amount, so it weighs more on small transactions. Always check which network a platform uses: coins sent over the wrong network can be lost.

Volatility is much higher than with regular currencies. A displayed price may be fixed only for a few seconds, while large trades risk slippage. Treat the figure above as an indication.

Also decide who holds the keys. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, whereas in your own wallet you are fully responsible for the keys. Use platforms that are registered with the regulator in your country.

Paying less when you change ETH into PLN

Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A low headline fee proves nothing if the rate is poor. The fairest figure to compare is the PLN amount after every cost, and that already includes both the markup and the fee.

When you pay by card abroad, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Pick the local currency so your bank or card issuer handles the exchange.

Timing can also matter. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. When there is no deadline, an alert tells you when the rate hits a level you are happy with. It saves you from checking the rate every day, but there is no guarantee the rate will get there.

Also check how you fund the transfer. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, while funding by bank transfer tends to keep costs down. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer also cuts the impact of fixed fees.
