MXN to PLN: what you are looking at
This page brings together the rate for Mexican Peso (MXN) and Polish Zloty (PLN) and sets it next to the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. On October 30, 2026, one MXN is worth 0.209276 PLN, while 1 PLN is worth 4.7784 MXN.
The figure at the top is the interbank mid rate. It is the midpoint between the price at which large banks buy MXN and the price at which they sell it. It works as the cleanest reference you can get: nobody earns anything on it directly, so few consumer services pass it on unchanged.
What ends up on the PLN side is shaped by two things: the gap between the provider’s rate and the mid-market rate and any fixed or percentage fee. Below the converter and chart we show how those costs are built up, look at what a conversion costs in practice and give concrete ways to get closer to the mid-market rate when converting MXN to PLN.
Delivery times and routes for PLN transfers
Your regular bank usually sends the money over the SWIFT network. Along the way one or more intermediary banks may handle it, sometimes taking a fee at each step. It typically arrives within a few working days, with the full cost not always known upfront.
Dedicated providers take another route. They have local accounts on both sides, so no money physically crosses the border: you pay in locally and the recipient is paid out locally. This usually cuts both time and cost, and you see exactly what will arrive before you confirm.
Speed is not down to the provider alone: your payment method, cut-off times and public holidays on either side. The very first payment may be slower as the provider completes its checks. Finish verification in advance if the money has to arrive on a set date.
Where Mexican Peso and Polish Zloty are used
Mexican Peso is the legal tender in Mexico. Polish Zloty is used in Poland. This matters when you plan a trip, pay an invoice or send money to family.
There are plenty of everyday reasons to convert MXN to PLN: moving abroad, studying, doing business or sending a gift. What suits one case may not suit another: a one-off large payment calls for the best rate, whereas regular small amounts are more sensitive to fixed fees.
Each country has its own payment habits. Depending on the country, you need an IBAN, a local account number or a mobile wallet and in certain countries payout to a mobile wallet is the norm. Have the recipient’s full details ready before you begin.
How providers price MXN to PLN
Nearly every bank and app will not give you the mid-market rate itself. They offer a rate that is a little less favourable and pocket the gap. This is known as the exchange rate margin. A markup of 2%, for example, means that about 2 out of every 100 MXN never reach the recipient.
Besides the hidden margin, many providers charge an explicit fee. This is usually a fixed amount per transfer, a share of what you send or a mix of both. With international bank payments other banks along the route may take their own cut, so the recipient gets less than you expected.
Take a close look at services that advertise free transfers. Free usually means the price is built into the exchange rate. What really counts is the total amount that arrives in PLN for an identical MXN amount, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
One year of MXN to PLN
Across the last year, the MXN/PLN rate shows a change of +5.93%. Within those twelve months the highest level was 0.221460 PLN for one MXN, while the bottom of the range was 0.197559. At 0.209276, the rate today can be measured against those two levels.
The distance between the high and the low puts the movement into real terms. On a large conversion, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, occasionally more than the difference between providers.
Exchange rates respond to interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you want to act on a certain rate, it is more practical to set an alert than to guess.
Sample calculation for 20,000.00 MXN
Consider a transfer of 20,000.00 MXN. Converted at the pure mid-market rate (0.209276), you can work out the upper limit of what the recipient could get. In reality every provider keeps something, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.
Looking at all 9 providers we track, Wise delivered the most, with 4,164.91 PLN in the end. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount shows the true cost, fees and margin combined.
Bear in mind that rankings shift with the amount you send. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, while a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Enter your own amount in the converter to see the ranking that applies to you.
Paying less when you change MXN into PLN
Judge on what arrives, not on what is advertised. A low headline fee proves nothing when the margin is high. The number that matters is the PLN amount after every cost, and that already includes both the markup and the fee.
When you pay by card abroad, you can get a choice between your own currency and the local one. That option is known as dynamic currency conversion, or DCC. The rate used is usually poor. Always opt to pay in the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.
Timing plays a role too. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. For transfers that can wait, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once MXN/PLN reaches a level you choose. It takes the guesswork out, though there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
Also check how you fund the transfer. Paying by credit card can trigger extra charges, and funding by bank transfer tends to keep costs down. Sending less often but in larger amounts also cuts the impact of fixed fees.
Larger transfers: what to check first
Check the provider’s licence first. A regulated provider is registered with a supervisor such as the FCA or your national central bank. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own and that offers protection if the company fails.
Verify every detail of the recipient. Mistakes are rarely fixed quickly with transfers abroad. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, like a statement or a sales contract. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
How our MXN/PLN comparison works
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. Each provider’s published fee and markup are applied on top, to calculate what actually arrives in PLN. The comparison covers 9 providers, ranked from most to least received.
The figures refresh every half hour, so the page reflects the market of October 30, 2026. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, because their rate can move between our updates, especially when markets are busy.
GoldexPay is independent. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help fund our work. The order is never affected by them: the provider that delivers the most PLN comes first, whether or not we have a link to it.
