Polish Zloty to Philippine Peso: what you are looking at
The page you are reading tracks the price relationship between Polish Zloty (PLN) and Philippine Peso (PHP) and compares it with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. On October 30, 2026, one PLN is worth 16.1505 PHP, and a single PHP comes to 0.061918 PLN.
The figure at the top is the mid-market rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy PLN and the price at which they sell it. Treat it as the cleanest reference you can get: nobody earns anything on it directly, and that is why few consumer services pass it on unchanged.
The amount that lands in the other account comes down to two separate costs: the gap between the provider’s rate and the mid-market rate and any fixed or percentage fee. Further down we take those costs apart, look at what a conversion costs in practice and share simple habits to lose less on the exchange when you change PLN into PHP.
Before you send: security and large amounts
Only use providers that are regulated. Look for authorisation from the FCA in the UK or the financial regulator in your own country. Regulated firms have to safeguard client funds and that offers protection if the company fails.
Verify every detail of the recipient. Mistakes are rarely fixed quickly with transfers abroad. Unexpected changes to payment details are a classic warning sign. Verify through a channel you trust.
For large amounts, expect extra checks. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, for example a contract of sale or an account statement. Some providers lower their margin on request for larger customers. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
One year of PLN to PHP
Across the last year, the PLN/PHP rate shows a change of +0.60%. In that period the rate peaked at 16.9875 PHP for one PLN, while the bottom of the range was 15.8213. The current 16.1505 sits somewhere inside that range.
The spread between the year’s extremes is a useful reminder of how far the rate can travel. For a bigger amount, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, occasionally more than the difference between providers.
Exchange rates respond to news, economic data and supply and demand on the market. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you are waiting for a particular level, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
Why we compare total cost
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. Each provider’s published fee and markup are applied on top, and work out how much PHP the recipient would end up with. The comparison covers 9 providers, so you can see the differences at a glance.
We update the rates every 30 minutes, so the page reflects the market of October 30, 2026. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, since markets keep moving.
We are not owned by any provider. Some of the links are affiliate links. The order is never affected by them: providers are sorted purely by how much PHP the recipient gets.
Practical ways to save on PLN/PHP
Judge on what arrives, not on what is advertised. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive if the rate is poor. What you want to know is the amount received, and that already includes both margin and fee.
If you pay or withdraw cash in a PHP country, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. The trade name for this is dynamic currency conversion. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Choose the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.
Watch the timing as well. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. For transfers that can wait, you can set a target rate and let the provider convert only when it is reached. It saves you from checking the rate every day, but the target may never be reached.
Also check how you fund the transfer. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, while a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer reduces what you pay in flat fees.
Exchange rate markup and fees on PLN/PHP
Nearly every bank and app do not convert at the rate of 16.1505 itself. Instead they quote a slightly worse rate and pocket the gap. People call this the exchange rate margin. With a 2% markup, for instance, for every 100 PLN you convert, about 2 PLN worth disappears before the money arrives.
Next to that markup, most banks charge an explicit fee. This is usually a flat charge per payment, a percentage of the amount or both at once. For transfers sent through the banking network extra deductions can follow, and those only show up at the end.
Be wary of anything sold as commission-free. In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. What really counts is the total amount that arrives in PHP for an identical PLN amount, and that is the figure our table ranks on.
A worked example with 5,000.00 PLN
Consider an amount of 5,000.00 PLN. Converted at the pure mid-market rate (16.1505), that sum sets the ceiling for what any provider could deliver in PHP. In reality every provider keeps something, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.
Of the 9 providers we compared, Wise gave the best result: the recipient gets 80,360.45 PHP in the end. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is the real price of the transfer.
Bear in mind that a different amount can produce a different winner. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, while a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Try your actual amount in the calculator above and check whether the order changes.
Where Polish Zloty and Philippine Peso are used
Polish Zloty is the legal tender in Poland. Philippine Peso is used in Philippines. Knowing this helps when you plan a trip, pay an invoice or send money to family.
People convert PLN to PHP for many reasons: rent or a mortgage abroad, tuition fees, a salary paid in another currency, savings or a holiday. Not every situation needs the same solution: a one-off large payment calls for the best rate, while regular small amounts are more sensitive to fixed fees.
Payout methods vary from country to country. Some recipients expect a bank account number with a local bank code, others an IBAN and in certain countries mobile wallets or cash collection are widely used. Have the recipient’s full details ready before you begin.
SWIFT versus local payout for PLN to PHP
With a classic international transfer, the bank sends the payment through SWIFT. Along the way one or more intermediary banks may handle it, and each can take a fee. Expect anything from one to a few working days, and the final deduction is often only visible afterwards.
Dedicated providers take another route. They have local accounts on both sides, which means your payment and the payout both happen domestically. The result tends to be quicker and less expensive, and the amount that arrives is known in advance.
Speed is not down to the provider alone: funding method, verification and holidays in the sending and receiving country. New customers sometimes wait a little longer as the provider completes its checks. Finish verification in advance if timing is tight.
