US Dollar to Solana explained
This page brings together the exchange rate between US Dollar (USD) and Solana (SOL) and sets it next to the cost of an actual conversion at a range of providers. On October 30, 2026, 1 USD buys 0.010639 SOL, while 1 SOL comes to 93.9900 USD.
The rate shown above is the mid-market rate. It is the midpoint between the buying and selling prices on the wholesale market. Treat it as a neutral benchmark: nobody earns anything on it directly, and that is why you rarely get it as a private customer.
The amount that lands in the other account comes down to two separate costs: the gap between the provider’s rate and the mid-market rate and the fee you see on the order screen. In the sections below we take those costs apart, show how they add up on a real amount and give concrete ways to keep more of your money when converting USD to SOL.
What 1,000.00 USD gets you in SOL
Let’s use an amount of 1,000.00 USD. Using the reference rate of 0.010639, that marks the theoretical maximum of what any provider could deliver in SOL. No service pays out that exact figure, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.
Of the 17 providers we compared, Crypto.com gave the best result, with 10.6261 SOL in the end. The difference between that figure and the mid-market amount is what the conversion actually cost you.
Keep in mind that the cheapest provider for 1,000.00 USD is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Enter your own amount in the converter and check whether the order changes.
Why we compare total cost
Every calculation begins with the mid-market rate of 0.010639. Each provider’s published fee and markup are applied on top, and work out how much SOL the recipient would end up with. We do this for 17 providers, ranked from most to least received.
Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, with October 30, 2026 as the reference date. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, since markets keep moving.
GoldexPay is independent. Some links on this page are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. They have no influence on the order: providers are sorted purely by how much SOL the recipient gets.
Mid-market rate versus the rate you get
Nearly every bank and app stay away from the mid-market rate as such. They shift the rate in their own favour and pocket the gap. This is known as the spread. If the margin is 2%, then for every 100 USD you convert, about 2 USD worth disappears before the money arrives.
On top of the margin, most banks ask for a separate fee. It may be a flat charge per payment, a percentage of the amount or both at once. For transfers sent through the banking network other banks along the route may take their own cut, and those only show up at the end.
Be wary of services that advertise free transfers. Free usually means the price is built into the exchange rate. What really counts is how much SOL the recipient ends up with for the same amount of USD, which is how the table above is sorted.
Sending a larger amount from USD to SOL
Make sure the provider is licensed. Look for authorisation from the FCA in the UK or the financial regulator in your own country. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own.
Check names and account details twice. Once money has left, getting it back is difficult. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, for example a contract of sale or an account statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
How to get a better USD to SOL rate
Judge on what arrives, not on what is advertised. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive because the margin can make up the difference. What you want to know is the SOL amount after every cost, which combines the markup and the fee.
If you pay or withdraw cash in a SOL country, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. The trade name for this is dynamic currency conversion. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Choose the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.
Timing can also matter. Rates quoted on a Saturday or Sunday can include a weekend surcharge. For transfers that can wait, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once USD/SOL reaches a level you choose. That avoids guessing, though there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
The payment method matters as well. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, while funding by bank transfer tends to keep costs down. Sending less often but in larger amounts means fixed charges hit you fewer times.
US Dollar against Solana: the last twelve months
Across the last year, the exchange rate shows a change of +106.48%. In that period the top of the range was 0.016083 SOL per USD, while the bottom of the range was 0.00515271. Today’s rate of 0.010639 sits somewhere inside that range.
The spread between the year’s extremes shows how much the rate can move in practice. On a large conversion, the moment of conversion matters in actual money, sometimes more than the choice of provider.
The rate reflects news, economic data and supply and demand on the market. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you are waiting for a particular level, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
Buying or selling crypto: USD to SOL
Crypto prices differ from platform to platform. On an exchange with an order book, you deal with a spread between the highest bid and the lowest ask, plus a trading fee. Simple broker apps often show one price which hides a wider spread.
If you withdraw coins to a wallet, there is a separate network charge. It is unrelated to how much you move, so for small amounts it can be a large share. Double-check the network before you send: mistakes here are rarely reversible.
The price of a crypto asset can swing hard in a short time. Quoted prices tend to expire quickly, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. Use the rate here as a guide, not as a binding quote.
Also decide who holds the keys. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, whereas a personal wallet puts the responsibility, and the risk of losing access, on you. Use platforms that are registered with the regulator in your country.
