Bitget vs HTX
Picking Bitget or HTX is less obvious than it looks. The real question is how much you actually keep once the fee and the rate markup are added up. That is the gap we measure here.
On our site, Bitget falls into the crypto exchange group and works with Currencies, Cryptocurrencies, while HTX belongs to crypto exchange and handles Currencies, Cryptocurrencies. Those two labels say a fair bit about which jobs each one is built for.
Below the calculator you can read our method, the trade-offs that do not show up in a single number, and who should pick which. Since we work with live rates, the outcome can shift during the day.
How we compare Bitget and HTX
There are two parts to the price of any conversion: the fee you see and the markup on the rate that you often do not. Our yardstick is the mid-market rate: the midpoint between what the market bids and asks. The gap is the margin, and we add it to the fee.
We test a range of sample amounts, small, medium and large, since a fixed fee hurts more on small sums. Rates refresh every 30 minutes and fees come from the providers’ published fee schedules. Promotions, account tiers and personal discounts are not always included, so your own offer may differ.
We are not owned by any provider. We may earn a commission through some links; that never affects which provider comes out cheaper. The numbers decide, not the commission.
The short answer
In 4 of 4 conversions that Bitget and HTX both support, Bitget left you with more money at live rates. On price alone, that makes Bitget the default pick.
Still, HTX is not out of the race. The scenario table above shows where HTX comes out ahead. If your currency pair and amount are among them, the overall tally matters a lot less.
Price is also not the only factor. Speed, limits and the way you pay in can tip the balance toward HTX. On a modest amount, a small price gap is often worth less than that convenience.
Does the amount matter?
The size of the amount can change the winner. On small sums the fixed part of the price dominates, on large sums the percentage does. Our scenario table reflects this by testing several amounts.
If you move larger sums regularly, check whether tiered pricing applies, and your own price may then be better than the one shown. Before a big transfer with Bitget or HTX, read the current pricing on their site.
Using both, or switching
Many people do not use one provider for everything. A second account gives you a backup and an easy price check. Signing up rarely costs anything, but verification is not always instant.
Before every larger transfer, run the amount through the calculator, since rates move and the cheaper side can flip. It is a quick check that pays off.
When you move away from one provider, empty the balance, cancel any recurring payments and save your statements, as you may need them later for your tax return.
Two rivals in the same category
Bitget and HTX belong to the same category, crypto exchange, so this is a like-for-like comparison. They solve the same problem, so price, speed and coverage decide.
Start with coverage: which currencies or assets each one supports, and which countries you can send to or from. Bitget covers Currencies, Cryptocurrencies, HTX covers Currencies, Cryptocurrencies. A small gap in coverage can matter more than a small price difference.
Beyond coverage, the cheapest option on your own route wins, plus limits, verification and the quality of the app. If one disappoints, the other is an easy alternative.
Where the real cost hides
A low or zero fee looks attractive, but it says little about the total cost. If the exchange rate you get is worse than the mid-market rate, you pay through the rate instead. The bigger the amount, the more that margin hurts.
For this reason our comparison combines the fee and the rate margin into one number. Two providers can arrive at a similar price by very different routes. What counts is what lands in the account at the end.
Other costs can matter too: card payment fees, surcharges for weekends or rare currencies, and costs on the receiving side. Some of these sit outside what we can measure, so check the provider’s fee page before a big transfer.
Is your money safe?
Before you look at cost, check who is looking after your money. Regulated financial services are licensed or registered with a supervisor in the countries where they operate. The supervisor’s public register lets you check this yourself.
With e-money and transfer services, ask about safeguarding: your balance should be ring-fenced from the business’s own accounts. Note that safeguarding differs from a bank deposit guarantee.
Crypto exchanges deserve extra scrutiny: ask about registration, custody and withdrawal options. Whichever you choose, switch on two-factor authentication and use a unique password.
Bitget or HTX: which fits your situation?
If you mainly spend abroad on holiday, look at card fees, cash withdrawal limits and weekend surcharges, not just the transfer price. Holding a balance in the local currency avoids converting at every purchase.
For transfers to family or bills abroad, the total cost per transfer and the delivery time are what count. Large one-off sums deserve a separate check: limits, extra verification and the margin all weigh more.
If you want to buy crypto, check that crypto is supported at all, then compare spreads and withdrawal fees. Businesses should look at business accounts and batch payments, which not every provider offers. Nothing here is investment advice.
How fast the money arrives
Bitget lists its quickest option as Instant, while HTX lists Instant. Treat these as the best case rather than a promise. A first transfer often takes longer because of identity checks.
Speed often depends on how you pay. Faster funding options can come with a higher fee, so check the total in the calculator. Only pay for speed when you actually need it.
Convenience counts too: clear status updates and an app you like save time and stress. Which app feels easier is a matter of taste.
Bitget vs HTX as crypto exchanges
With two crypto exchanges, the cost is spread over several layers. On instant buy screens the main cost is often the spread rather than a listed fee. If you use the order book, maker and taker fees replace the spread as the main cost.
Then there are deposit and withdrawal costs. A bank transfer is usually the cheapest way to fund an account; a card is faster but pricier. Withdrawing coins to your own wallet comes with a network or withdrawal fee that varies per asset.
Finally, think about custody. As long as your crypto sits on an exchange, the exchange holds the keys. Many users move larger holdings to a wallet they control, which makes the withdrawal fee part of the real cost.
