INR to PLN: rate, costs and context
This page tracks the rate for Indian Rupee (INR) and Polish Zloty (PLN) and sets it next to the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 30, 2026, 1 INR equals 0.041519 PLN, and one PLN comes to 24.0854 INR.
The figure at the top is the interbank mid rate. It sits exactly halfway between the buying and selling prices on the wholesale market. Think of it as a fair reference point: no fee or margin is built in, which is exactly why few consumer services pass it on unchanged.
What you actually receive comes down to two things: a markup hidden in the exchange rate and any fixed or percentage fee. In the sections below we take those costs apart, show how they add up on a real amount and give concrete ways to get closer to the mid-market rate when converting INR to PLN.
Example: converting 100,000.00 INR
Let’s use a transfer of 100,000.00 INR. Using the reference rate of 0.041519, that sum sets the ceiling for what any provider could deliver in PLN. In reality every provider keeps something, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.
Across the 9 providers in our comparison, Wise delivered the most and paid out 4,131.43 PLN at the time of our last update. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is what the conversion actually cost you.
Keep in mind that a different amount can produce a different winner. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, while the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Enter your own amount in the converter to see the ranking that applies to you.
Getting the most PLN for your INR
Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive when the margin is high. The fairest figure to compare is the amount received, and that already includes both the markup and the fee.
At foreign tills and cash machines, you may be asked whether to pay in INR or in the local currency. The trade name for this is dynamic currency conversion. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Choose the local currency so your bank or card issuer handles the exchange.
Timing plays a role too. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. For transfers that can wait, an alert tells you when the rate hits a level you are happy with. It saves you from checking the rate every day, but there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
Finally, look at how you pay. Paying by credit card can trigger extra charges, while a plain bank transfer is normally the low-cost option. Bundling smaller transfers also cuts the impact of fixed fees.
Indian Rupee against Polish Zloty: the last twelve months
Compared with a year ago, the INR/PLN rate has changed by +0.25%. During that year the rate peaked at 0.041823 PLN per INR, and the low point came in at 0.037810. At 0.041519, the rate today is easy to place within that band.
The spread between the year’s extremes puts the movement into real terms. On a large conversion, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, occasionally more than the difference between providers.
The rate reflects central bank policy, economic data and shifts in risk appetite. These figures describe the past and say nothing about what comes next. If you are waiting for a particular level, it is more practical to set an alert than to guess.
Choosing a route to send PLN
With a classic international transfer, the bank sends the payment via the SWIFT system. Your transfer may hop between several banks before it arrives, each of which can deduct a charge. Expect anything from one to a few working days, with the full cost not always known upfront.
Specialised transfer services often work differently. They hold balances in both currencies, so your INR stays in the INR system and the recipient is paid in PLN from a local account. That is often faster and cheaper, with the final PLN amount fixed upfront.
Speed is not down to the provider alone: how you pay, the time of day, cut-off times and bank holidays in both countries. New customers sometimes wait a little longer because the provider has to verify your identity. Get verified before you need to send if the money has to arrive on a set date.
Larger transfers: what to check first
Check the provider’s licence first. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Regulated firms have to safeguard client funds and that offers protection if the company fails.
Double-check the recipient details before you confirm. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Unexpected changes to payment details are a classic warning sign. Verify through a channel you trust.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, like a statement or a sales contract. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.
INR and PLN around the world
Indian Rupee is used in India. Polish Zloty is used in Poland. This matters for anyone who earns in one of these currencies and spends in the other.
There are plenty of everyday reasons to convert INR to PLN: rent or a mortgage abroad, tuition fees, a salary paid in another currency, savings or a holiday. Each situation asks for something different: a single big transfer calls for the best rate, whereas frequent smaller payments are more sensitive to fixed fees.
The way money is paid out also differs per country. Some recipients expect a bank account number with a local bank code, others an IBAN, and in some places cash pickup or mobile money is common. Have the recipient’s full details ready before you begin.
How we rank providers for INR to PLN
We start from the live mid-market rate for INR/PLN. We then apply each provider’s published fees and exchange rate margin, which gives the amount the recipient receives. In total 9 providers are included, placed side by side.
Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, so the page reflects the market of October 30, 2026. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, and it can differ slightly from our calculation, especially when markets are busy.
No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. The order is never affected by them: the provider that delivers the most PLN comes first, whether or not we have a link to it.
Mid-market rate versus the rate you get
The majority of services will not give you the mid-market rate as such. They offer a rate that is a little less favourable and earn on the difference. That gap is called the markup. With a 2% markup, for instance, about 2 out of every 100 INR never reach the recipient.
Next to that markup, many providers charge an explicit fee. This is usually a flat charge per payment, a percentage of the amount or both at once. On classic bank transfers abroad the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, which shrinks the amount that finally arrives.
Be wary of offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". Free usually means the price is built into the exchange rate. The only fair way to compare is how much PLN the recipient ends up with for an identical INR amount, which is how the table above is sorted.
