Converting Polish Zloty into Singapore Dollar: what you are looking at
The page you are reading follows the rate for Polish Zloty (PLN) and Singapore Dollar (SGD) and compares it with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 30, 2026, 1 PLN buys 0.324160 SGD, while 1 SGD is worth 3.0849 PLN.
That headline number is the interbank mid rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy PLN and the price at which they sell it. Think of it as a neutral benchmark: no fee or margin is built in, which is exactly why consumers almost never receive it in full.
What ends up on the SGD side comes down to two things: the gap between the provider’s rate and the mid-market rate and the visible transfer or service fee. Below the converter and chart we take those costs apart, look at what a conversion costs in practice and list practical steps to lose less on the exchange when converting PLN to SGD.
Choosing a route to send SGD
Your regular bank usually sends the money over the SWIFT network. The money can pass through one or more correspondent banks, each of which can deduct a charge. Delivery usually takes one to several working days, and the final deduction is often only visible afterwards.
Specialised transfer services often work differently. They hold balances in both currencies, which means your payment and the payout both happen domestically. This usually cuts both time and cost, and you see exactly what will arrive before you confirm.
Delivery time depends on several factors: funding method, verification and holidays in the sending and receiving country. The very first payment may be slower because the provider has to verify your identity. Finish verification in advance if the money has to arrive on a set date.
Sending a larger amount from PLN to SGD
Only use providers that are regulated. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own.
Check names and account details twice. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Watch out for pressure, urgency or a last-minute change of account details. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.
For large amounts, expect extra checks. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, for example a contract of sale or an account statement. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
Tips for converting PLN to SGD
Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A low headline fee proves nothing if the rate is poor. The fairest figure to compare is the SGD amount after every cost, which combines margin and fee.
When you pay by card abroad, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. This is called dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Choose the local currency so your bank or card issuer handles the exchange.
Timing plays a role too. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. If you are not in a hurry, an alert tells you when the rate hits a level you are happy with. It takes the guesswork out, but there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
The payment method matters as well. Card payments often cost more than a bank transfer, and funding by bank transfer tends to keep costs down. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer also cuts the impact of fixed fees.
Exchange rate markup and fees on PLN/SGD
Nearly every bank and app do not convert at the rate of 0.324160 itself. Instead they shift the rate in their own favour and earn on the difference. That gap is called the exchange rate margin. With a 2% markup, for instance, you lose roughly 2 PLN on every 100 PLN, without it ever appearing as a fee.
Next to that markup, many providers add a visible fee. This is usually a flat charge per payment, a share of what you send or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, and those only show up at the end.
Take a close look at offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". Free usually means the price is built into the exchange rate. The reliable test is the total amount that arrives in SGD for the same amount of PLN, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
Where Polish Zloty and Singapore Dollar are used
Polish Zloty is the legal tender in Poland. Singapore Dollar is what people pay with in Singapore. This matters when you plan a trip, pay an invoice or send money to family.
There are plenty of everyday reasons to convert PLN to SGD: moving abroad, studying, doing business or sending a gift. What suits one case may not suit another: a single big transfer calls for the best rate, whereas regular small amounts are more sensitive to fixed fees.
Payout methods vary from country to country. Some recipients expect a bank account number with a local bank code, others an IBAN and in certain countries cash pickup or mobile money is common. Ask the recipient for the exact details in advance.
5,000.00 PLN to SGD, step by step
Take a conversion of 5,000.00 PLN. Using the reference rate of 0.324160, you can work out the upper limit of what the recipient could get. In reality every provider keeps something, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.
Looking at all 9 providers we track, Wise delivered the most, with 1,612.93 SGD after all costs. The difference between that figure and the mid-market amount shows the true cost, fees and margin combined.
Keep in mind that a different amount can produce a different winner. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Try your actual amount in the calculator above and check whether the order changes.
About this comparison
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, to calculate what actually arrives in SGD. The comparison covers 9 providers, so you can see the differences at a glance.
The figures refresh every half hour, with October 30, 2026 as the reference date. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, because their rate can move between our updates.
GoldexPay is independent. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. They have no influence on the order: the provider that delivers the most SGD comes first, whether or not we have a link to it.
One year of PLN to SGD
Across the last year, the PLN/SGD rate shows a change of -8.58%. In that period the rate peaked at 0.359793 SGD per PLN, while the lowest was 0.324160. The current 0.324160 can be measured against those two levels.
That range between high and low puts the movement into real terms. When you convert a substantial sum, the moment of conversion matters in actual money, even when the fee stays the same.
Rates are pushed around by news, economic data and supply and demand on the market. These figures describe the past and say nothing about what comes next. If timing matters to you, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
