The SGD/PLN exchange rate: what you are looking at

This page tracks the exchange rate between Singapore Dollar (SGD) and Polish Zloty (PLN) and sets it next to what real providers charge to convert one into the other. At the latest update on October 30, 2026, 1 SGD buys 3.0849 PLN, and one PLN is worth 0.324160 SGD.

The figure at the top is the mid-market rate, sometimes called the interbank rate. It is calculated as the middle of what wholesale traders pay for SGD and what they ask for it. It works as a fair reference point: it contains no profit margin and no fees, which is exactly why you rarely get it as a private customer.

The amount that lands in the other account comes down to two things: the margin a provider adds to that rate and the visible transfer or service fee. Below the converter and chart we take those costs apart, look at what a conversion costs in practice and give concrete ways to lose less on the exchange when converting SGD to PLN.

Paying less when you change SGD into PLN

Judge on what arrives, not on what is advertised. A low headline fee proves nothing when the margin is high. The fairest figure to compare is the amount received, which combines the markup and the fee.

When you pay by card abroad, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. The trade name for this is dynamic currency conversion. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Pick the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.

Timing plays a role too. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. If you are not in a hurry, you can set a target rate and let the provider convert only when it is reached. It takes the guesswork out, but there is no guarantee the rate will get there.

The payment method matters as well. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, and a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Bundling smaller transfers reduces what you pay in flat fees.

Where the cost of converting SGD to PLN hides

Nearly every bank and app stay away from the mid-market rate as such. They offer a rate that is a little less favourable and earn on the difference. This is known as the markup. With a 2% markup, for instance, for every 100 SGD you convert, about 2 SGD worth disappears before the money arrives.

On top of the margin, most banks add a visible fee. That can be a fixed amount per transfer, a percentage of the amount or a mix of both. With international bank payments the receiving or intermediary bank sometimes deducts a charge too, which shrinks the amount that finally arrives.

Look twice at services that advertise free transfers. In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. What really counts is the final PLN figure for the same amount of SGD, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.

SGD and PLN around the world

Singapore Dollar is used in Singapore. Polish Zloty is what people pay with in Poland. Knowing this helps if you travel, shop online abroad or support someone in another country.

There are plenty of everyday reasons to convert SGD to PLN: moving abroad, studying, doing business or sending a gift. Not every situation needs the same solution: a one-off large payment calls for the best rate, while regular small amounts are more sensitive to fixed fees.

Payout methods vary from country to country. Some recipients expect a bank account number with a local bank code, others an IBAN and in certain countries cash pickup or mobile money is common. Ask the recipient for the exact details in advance.

The SGD/PLN rate over twelve months

Across the last year, the SGD/PLN rate has changed by +9.38%. In that period the top of the range was 3.0849 PLN per SGD, and the bottom of the range was 2.7794. The current 3.0849 sits somewhere inside that range.

The distance between the high and the low is a useful reminder of how far the rate can travel. For a bigger amount, timing has a visible effect on the outcome, even when the fee stays the same.

Rates are pushed around by interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you are waiting for a particular level, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.

Staying safe with bigger SGD to PLN transfers

Make sure the provider is licensed. Look for authorisation from the FCA in the UK or the financial regulator in your own country. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own, which protects you if something goes wrong.

Check names and account details twice. Mistakes are rarely fixed quickly with transfers abroad. Watch out for pressure, urgency or a last-minute change of account details: confirm by phone using a number you already know.

For large amounts, expect extra checks. Have documents ready that show where the money came from, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. A rate lock, where offered, removes uncertainty while the money is on its way.

How SGD to PLN transfers travel

With a classic international transfer, the bank sends the payment via the SWIFT system. The money can pass through one or more correspondent banks, each of which can deduct a charge. Delivery usually takes one to several working days, and the final deduction is often only visible afterwards.

Many money transfer apps use a different model. They keep money in accounts in both regions, so your SGD stays in the SGD system and the recipient is paid in PLN from a local account. This usually cuts both time and cost, and the amount that arrives is known in advance.

Delivery time depends on several factors: funding method, verification and holidays in the sending and receiving country. A first transfer can take longer because the provider has to verify your identity. Finish verification in advance if timing is tight.

About this comparison

Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, and work out how much PLN the recipient would end up with. We do this for 8 providers, placed side by side.

Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, with October 30, 2026 as the reference date. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, because their rate can move between our updates.

No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. The order is never affected by them: providers are sorted purely by how much PLN the recipient gets.

A worked example with 1,000.00 SGD

Take a transfer of 1,000.00 SGD. Using the reference rate of 3.0849, that marks the theoretical maximum of what is possible on the PLN side. In reality every provider keeps something, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.

Looking at all 8 providers we track, Revolut gave the best result, with 3,069.48 PLN after all costs. The gap between 3,069.48 PLN and the theoretical maximum is the real price of the transfer.

Note that rankings shift with the amount you send. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Enter your own amount in the converter and check whether the order changes.
