ETH to CNY explained

The page you are reading follows the exchange rate between Ethereum (ETH) and Chinese Yuan (CNY), together with the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. As of October 30, 2026, one ETH is worth 14,851.82 CNY, while one CNY comes to 0.0000673318 ETH.

The rate shown above is the mid-market rate, sometimes called the interbank rate. It is calculated as the middle of the buying and selling prices on the wholesale market. Think of it as a fair reference point: nobody earns anything on it directly, so few consumer services pass it on unchanged.

What ends up on the CNY side depends on two things: a markup hidden in the exchange rate and the fee you see on the order screen. In the sections below we explain how those costs work, put them side by side and give concrete ways to lose less on the exchange when you swap Ethereum for Chinese Yuan.

How GoldexPay compares ETH to CNY providers

Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. We then apply each provider’s published fees and exchange rate margin, to calculate what actually arrives in CNY. In total 1 providers are included, placed side by side.

We update the rates every 30 minutes, with October 30, 2026 as the reference date. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, and it can differ slightly from our calculation.

GoldexPay is independent. Some links on this page are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. They have no influence on the order: the only ranking criterion is the amount received.

What 0.5000 ETH gets you in CNY

Consider a conversion of 0.5000 ETH. Converted at the pure mid-market rate (14,851.82), that marks the theoretical maximum of what is possible on the CNY side. In reality every provider keeps something, since the margin and fees are taken out along the way.

Across the 1 providers in our comparison, Revolut gave the best result: the recipient gets 7,315.26 CNY at the time of our last update. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is the real price of the transfer.

Note that rankings shift with the amount you send. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Run your own figure through the converter for a ranking that fits your situation.

How to get a better ETH to CNY rate

Judge on what arrives, not on what is advertised. A small fee on its own says little if the rate is poor. The fairest figure to compare is how much CNY arrives for your ETH, and that already includes both margin and fee.

At foreign tills and cash machines, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. The trade name for this is dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Pick the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.

Watch the timing as well. Rates quoted on a Saturday or Sunday can include a weekend surcharge. When there is no deadline, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once ETH/CNY reaches a level you choose. That avoids guessing, though the target may never be reached.

Also check how you fund the transfer. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, and a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Bundling smaller transfers also cuts the impact of fixed fees.

Before you send: security and large amounts

Check the provider’s licence first. A regulated provider is registered with a supervisor such as the FCA or your national central bank. Regulated firms have to safeguard client funds, which protects you if something goes wrong.

Check names and account details twice. Once money has left, getting it back is difficult. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details. Verify through a channel you trust.

For large amounts, expect extra checks. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. A rate lock, where offered, removes uncertainty while the money is on its way.

What to know about ETH/CNY on crypto platforms

Crypto prices differ from platform to platform. On a trading platform, there is a gap between the buy and sell price, the spread, on top of a maker or taker fee. Simple broker apps often show one price with the margin already included.

When you move crypto to or from your own wallet, a network fee applies. That fee does not depend on the amount, so for small amounts it can be a large share. Always check which network a platform uses: coins sent over the wrong network can be lost.

The price of a crypto asset can swing hard in a short time. Quoted prices tend to expire quickly, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. The rate on this page is a reference point, not a guaranteed price.

Also decide who holds the keys. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, while in your own wallet you are fully responsible for the keys. Check that a platform is registered or licensed with a financial regulator where you live.

The ETH/CNY rate over twelve months

Compared with a year ago, the price of ETH in CNY has changed by -46.49%. During that year the highest level was 27,809.21 CNY per ETH, and the bottom of the range was 10,634.86. At 14,851.82, the rate today sits somewhere inside that range.

The spread between the year’s extremes is a useful reminder of how far the rate can travel. When you convert a substantial sum, timing has a visible effect on the outcome, even when the fee stays the same.

The rate reflects interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If timing matters to you, a rate alert is a calmer option than trying to predict the market.

How providers price ETH to CNY

Most providers do not convert at the mid-market rate as such. They offer a rate that is a little less favourable and earn on the difference. That gap is called the exchange rate margin. A markup of 2%, for example, means that for every 100 ETH you convert, about 2 ETH worth disappears before the money arrives.

Next to that markup, a lot of services add a visible fee. That can be a fixed amount per transfer, a share of what you send or a mix of both. For transfers sent through the banking network other banks along the route may take their own cut, so the recipient gets less than you expected.

Be wary of offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". Free usually means the price is built into the exchange rate. The reliable test is the total amount that arrives in CNY for an identical ETH amount, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
