BTC to USDC: what you are looking at

This overview brings together the rate for Bitcoin (BTC) and USD Coin (USDC), together with the cost of an actual conversion at a range of providers. As of October 30, 2026, one BTC is worth 76,902.46 USDC, while 1 USDC equals 0.0000130035 BTC.

The rate shown above is the mid-market rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy BTC and the price at which they sell it. Treat it as a neutral benchmark: no fee or margin is built in, which is exactly why consumers almost never receive it in full.

What ends up on the USDC side depends on two separate costs: the margin a provider adds to that rate and the visible transfer or service fee. Further down we take those costs apart, show how they add up on a real amount and share simple habits to keep more of your money when you swap Bitcoin for USD Coin.

What banks and apps really charge for BTC to USDC

Nearly every bank and app will not give you the mid-market rate as such. They shift the rate in their own favour and pocket the gap. That gap is called the markup. If the margin is 2%, then about 2 out of every 100 BTC never reach the recipient.

Next to that markup, most banks ask for a separate fee. This is usually a flat charge per payment, a percentage of the amount or both at once. With international bank payments other banks along the route may take their own cut, and those only show up at the end.

Take a close look at services that advertise free transfers. In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. The reliable test is the total amount that arrives in USDC for the same amount of BTC, which is how the table above is sorted.

How to get a better BTC to USDC rate

Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive when the margin is high. What you want to know is the USDC amount after every cost, which combines the markup and the fee.

At foreign tills and cash machines, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. The trade name for this is dynamic currency conversion. The rate used is usually poor. Always opt to pay in the local currency and the conversion follows your card’s own terms.

Watch the timing as well. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. If you are not in a hurry, an alert tells you when the rate hits a level you are happy with. It saves you from checking the rate every day, but the target may never be reached.

Also check how you fund the transfer. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, and a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Sending less often but in larger amounts means fixed charges hit you fewer times.

Why we compare total cost

Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. We then apply each provider’s published fees and exchange rate margin, which gives the amount the recipient receives. We do this for 20 providers, ranked from most to least received.

Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, with October 30, 2026 as the reference date. The final price is always set by the provider itself, since markets keep moving, especially when markets are busy.

GoldexPay is independent. Some of the links are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. That never changes the ranking: providers are sorted purely by how much USDC the recipient gets.

Crypto spreads, network fees and custody

With crypto, the price you pay depends heavily on where you trade. On a trading platform, there is a gap between the buy and sell price, the spread, and a commission per trade. Simple broker apps often show one price which hides a wider spread.

If you withdraw coins to a wallet, there is a separate network charge. That fee does not depend on the amount, so for small amounts it can be a large share. Always check which network a platform uses: mistakes here are rarely reversible.

Volatility is much higher than with regular currencies. Quoted prices tend to expire quickly, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. Use the rate here as a guide, not as a binding quote.

Custody is another point to consider. If you leave crypto on a platform, the platform controls it, while in your own wallet you are fully responsible for the keys. Use platforms that are registered with the regulator in your country.

Sample calculation for 0.0100 BTC

Take a conversion of 0.0100 BTC. Using the reference rate of 76,902.46, that marks the theoretical maximum of what is possible on the USDC side. In practice nobody hands over that full amount, because margins and fees come off first.

Across the 20 providers in our comparison, Crypto.com came out cheapest for this amount, with 768.06 USDC after all costs. The gap between 768.06 USDC and the theoretical maximum is what the conversion actually cost you.

Keep in mind that the cheapest provider for 0.0100 BTC is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. A flat fee hurts most when the amount is small, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Try your actual amount in the calculator above and check whether the order changes.

Staying safe with bigger BTC to USDC transfers

Make sure the provider is licensed. A regulated provider is registered with a supervisor such as the FCA or your national central bank. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own and that offers protection if the company fails.

Check names and account details twice. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Unexpected changes to payment details are a classic warning sign. Verify through a channel you trust.

Larger transfers often come with additional questions. Have documents ready that show where the money came from, like a statement or a sales contract. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.

Bitcoin against USD Coin: the last twelve months

Compared with a year ago, the exchange rate shows a change of -30.11%. Within those twelve months the highest level was 110,532.68 USDC for one BTC, and the bottom of the range was 58,602.79. The current 76,902.46 sits somewhere inside that range.

That range between high and low puts the movement into real terms. On a large conversion, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, even when the fee stays the same.

The rate reflects central bank policy, economic data and shifts in risk appetite. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If you want to act on a certain rate, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
