USD Coin to Bitcoin at a glance
The page you are reading follows the price relationship between USD Coin (USDC) and Bitcoin (BTC), together with what real providers charge to convert one into the other. As of October 31, 2026, 1 USDC buys 0.0000129368 BTC, while one BTC is worth 77,298.75 USDC.
That headline number is the interbank mid rate. It is calculated as the middle of the price at which large banks buy USDC and the price at which they sell it. Think of it as the cleanest reference you can get: nobody earns anything on it directly, so consumers almost never receive it in full.
What you actually receive is shaped by two things: a markup hidden in the exchange rate and the fee you see on the order screen. In the sections below we show how those costs are built up, look at what a conversion costs in practice and share simple habits to keep more of your money when you change USDC into BTC.
Before you send: security and large amounts
Only use providers that are regulated. Look for authorisation from the FCA in the UK or the financial regulator in your own country. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own.
Double-check the recipient details before you confirm. Once money has left, getting it back is difficult. Watch out for pressure, urgency or a last-minute change of account details: confirm by phone using a number you already know.
For large amounts, expect extra checks. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. Some also let you lock in a rate for a short period.
About this comparison
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. Each provider’s published fee and markup are applied on top, and work out how much BTC the recipient would end up with. The comparison covers 20 providers, ranked from most to least received.
Rates are refreshed every 30 minutes, and the date on the page shows when the data was last updated. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, since markets keep moving.
No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. We may earn a commission through some links. The order is never affected by them: providers are sorted purely by how much BTC the recipient gets.
Recent movement in the USDC/BTC rate
Over the past twelve months, the exchange rate has changed by +40.28%. Within those twelve months the top of the range was 0.0000170640 BTC per USDC, while the bottom of the range was 0.0000090471. The current 0.0000129368 sits somewhere inside that range.
The spread between the year’s extremes puts the movement into real terms. When you convert a substantial sum, timing has a visible effect on the outcome, sometimes more than the choice of provider.
Rates are pushed around by interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If you want to act on a certain rate, a rate alert is a calmer option than trying to predict the market.
Where the cost of converting USDC to BTC hides
Most providers will not give you the mid-market rate as such. They quote a slightly worse rate and pocket the gap. That gap is called the spread. A markup of 2%, for example, means that you lose roughly 2 USDC on every 100 USDC, without it ever appearing as a fee.
On top of the margin, most banks add a visible fee. It may be a flat charge per payment, a share of what you send or a mix of both. For transfers sent through the banking network extra deductions can follow, and those only show up at the end.
Look twice at offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". In many cases the margin in the rate simply does the work of the fee. The reliable test is the final BTC figure for exactly the same sum, and that is the figure our table ranks on.
What to know about USDC/BTC on crypto platforms
With crypto, the price you pay depends heavily on where you trade. On an exchange with an order book, you deal with a spread between the highest bid and the lowest ask, plus a trading fee. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price with the margin already included.
Withdrawing crypto from a platform, a network fee applies. It is unrelated to how much you move, which makes small withdrawals relatively expensive. Make sure the sending and receiving side use the same network: coins sent over the wrong network can be lost.
Crypto prices can move sharply within minutes. Quoted prices tend to expire quickly, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. The rate on this page is a reference point, not a guaranteed price.
Also decide who holds the keys. Coins kept on an exchange are held by that exchange, whereas self-custody means you alone can access, or lose, the funds. Check that a platform is registered or licensed with a financial regulator where you live.
A worked example with 1,000.00 USDC
Consider a transfer of 1,000.00 USDC. At the mid-market rate of 0.0000129368, you can work out the upper limit of what any provider could deliver in BTC. In practice nobody hands over that full amount, because margins and fees come off first.
Of the 20 providers we compared, Crypto.com came out cheapest for this amount and paid out 0.0129 BTC after all costs. The gap between 0.0129 BTC and the theoretical maximum is the real price of the transfer.
Note that rankings shift with the amount you send. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Enter your own amount in the converter for a ranking that fits your situation.
Paying less when you change USDC into BTC
Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A low headline fee proves nothing because the margin can make up the difference. The fairest figure to compare is how much BTC arrives for your USDC, which combines the markup and the fee.
At foreign tills and cash machines, you may be asked whether to pay in USDC or in the local currency. That option is known as dynamic currency conversion, or DCC. It tends to be among the most expensive ways to convert. Always opt to pay in the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.
Timing plays a role too. Some providers widen their margin at weekends, when currency markets are closed. If you are not in a hurry, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once USDC/BTC reaches a level you choose. It saves you from checking the rate every day, though the target may never be reached.
The payment method matters as well. Card payments often cost more than a bank transfer, and a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Sending less often but in larger amounts also cuts the impact of fixed fees.
