Converting Ethereum into BNB explained
The page you are reading follows the rate for Ethereum (ETH) and BNB (BNB) and sets it next to the prices that banks, money apps and exchanges actually ask. At the latest update on October 31, 2026, 1 ETH buys 3.1830 BNB, and a single BNB equals 0.314174 ETH.
The rate shown above is the mid-market rate. It is the midpoint between the buying and selling prices on the wholesale market. It works as a neutral benchmark: nobody earns anything on it directly, and that is why consumers almost never receive it in full.
What you actually receive is shaped by two separate costs: the margin a provider adds to that rate and the fee you see on the order screen. In the sections below we show how those costs are built up, put them side by side and list practical steps to get closer to the mid-market rate when you change ETH into BNB.
Why we compare total cost
Every calculation begins with the mid-market rate of 3.1830. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, which gives the amount the recipient receives. We do this for 15 providers, so you can see the differences at a glance.
The figures refresh every half hour, so the page reflects the market of October 31, 2026. The final price is always set by the provider itself, since markets keep moving.
No bank, app or exchange owns GoldexPay. Some links on this page are affiliate links, which help fund our work. That never changes the ranking: the only ranking criterion is the amount received.
Getting the most BNB for your ETH
Look at the final amount, not just the fee. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive if the rate is poor. The number that matters is how much BNB arrives for your ETH, which combines margin and fee.
If you pay or withdraw cash in a BNB country, a terminal may offer to charge you in your home currency. That option is known as dynamic currency conversion, or DCC. It usually comes with a steep markup. Choose the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.
Timing plays a role too. Rates quoted on a Saturday or Sunday can include a weekend surcharge. If you are not in a hurry, you can set a target rate and let the provider convert only when it is reached. That avoids guessing, but the target may never be reached.
The payment method matters as well. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, and a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer means fixed charges hit you fewer times.
Ethereum against BNB: the last twelve months
Over the past twelve months, the ETH/BNB rate moved by -9.76%. Within those twelve months the top of the range was 3.8542 BNB per ETH, while the bottom of the range was 2.7316. At 3.1830, the rate today is easy to place within that band.
The distance between the high and the low shows how much the rate can move in practice. On a large conversion, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, sometimes more than the choice of provider.
Exchange rates respond to interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If you are waiting for a particular level, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
Example: converting 0.5000 ETH
Take a conversion of 0.5000 ETH. At the mid-market rate of 3.1830, that sum sets the ceiling for what is possible on the BNB side. No service pays out that exact figure, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.
Of the 15 providers we compared, Crypto.com came out cheapest for this amount, with 1.5895 BNB in the end. The gap between 1.5895 BNB and the theoretical maximum shows the true cost, fees and margin combined.
Bear in mind that the cheapest provider for 0.5000 ETH is not automatically the cheapest for every amount. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, whereas a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Run your own figure through the converter for a ranking that fits your situation.
Crypto spreads, network fees and custody
With crypto, the price you pay depends heavily on where you trade. On a trading platform, you pay the difference between bid and ask, plus a trading fee. Simple broker apps often show one price with the margin already included.
Withdrawing crypto from a platform, you pay a network or withdrawal fee. That fee does not depend on the amount, so it weighs more on small transactions. Double-check the network before you send: mistakes here are rarely reversible.
Volatility is much higher than with regular currencies. A displayed price may be fixed only for a few seconds, while large trades risk slippage. Use the rate here as a guide, not as a binding quote.
Think about custody as well. Coins kept on an exchange are held by that exchange, whereas in your own wallet you are fully responsible for the keys. Check that a platform is registered or licensed with a financial regulator where you live.
What banks and apps really charge for ETH to BNB
Nearly every bank and app stay away from the mid-market rate itself. They quote a slightly worse rate and keep the difference. People call this the markup. If the margin is 2%, then you lose roughly 2 ETH on every 100 ETH, without it ever appearing as a fee.
On top of the margin, a lot of services add a visible fee. That can be a fixed amount per transfer, a share of what you send or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad other banks along the route may take their own cut, and those only show up at the end.
Be wary of anything sold as commission-free. Free usually means the price is built into the exchange rate. The only fair way to compare is the total amount that arrives in BNB for an identical ETH amount, and that is the figure our table ranks on.
Safety checks before you convert ETH to BNB
Check the provider’s licence first. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own.
Verify every detail of the recipient. Once money has left, getting it back is difficult. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details: confirm by phone using a number you already know.
Big sums usually trigger extra verification. Have documents ready that show where the money came from, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. A rate lock, where offered, removes uncertainty while the money is on its way.
