The ETH/BRL exchange rate: what you are looking at
This page brings together the price relationship between Ethereum (ETH) and Brazilian Real (BRL), together with the cost of an actual conversion at a range of providers. As of October 31, 2026, one ETH is worth 12,189.69 BRL, while 1 BRL comes to 0.0000820366 ETH.
The rate shown above is the interbank mid rate. It is the midpoint between the buying and selling prices on the wholesale market. Treat it as a neutral benchmark: nobody earns anything on it directly, and that is why you rarely get it as a private customer.
What ends up on the BRL side is shaped by two separate costs: a markup hidden in the exchange rate and the fee you see on the order screen. Further down we take those costs apart, look at what a conversion costs in practice and give concrete ways to get closer to the mid-market rate when you change ETH into BRL.
0.5000 ETH to BRL, step by step
Consider an amount of 0.5000 ETH. Using the reference rate of 12,189.69, that marks the theoretical maximum of what any provider could deliver in BRL. In practice nobody hands over that full amount, as costs are deducted somewhere in the process.
Looking at all 1 providers we track, Revolut gave the best result, with 6,004.03 BRL in the end. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount shows the true cost, fees and margin combined.
Keep in mind that a different amount can produce a different winner. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, whereas the margin in the rate becomes the bigger cost on larger transfers. Try your actual amount in the calculator above and check whether the order changes.
Converting ETH to BRL as a crypto pair
Where you convert matters a lot with crypto. On an exchange with an order book, there is a gap between the buy and sell price, the spread, on top of a maker or taker fee. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price that has the cost baked in.
If you withdraw coins to a wallet, a network fee applies. That fee does not depend on the amount, so it weighs more on small transactions. Double-check the network before you send: a mismatch can mean the funds never arrive.
Volatility is much higher than with regular currencies. A quote is often only valid for a short moment, while large trades risk slippage. Treat the figure above as an indication.
Custody is another point to consider. Coins kept on an exchange are held by that exchange, while a personal wallet puts the responsibility, and the risk of losing access, on you. Look for registration with a financial supervisor before you deposit.
Before you send: security and large amounts
Only use providers that are regulated. In the UK that means authorisation by the FCA, elsewhere a central bank or financial supervisor. Regulation includes rules on keeping your money apart from the company’s own.
Double-check the recipient details before you confirm. Mistakes are rarely fixed quickly with transfers abroad. Unexpected changes to payment details are a classic warning sign. Call to confirm, using contact details you already had.
Larger transfers often come with additional questions. You may need to show proof of the source of funds, such as a payslip, sale agreement or bank statement. For big amounts it can pay to ask for a better rate. A rate lock, where offered, removes uncertainty while the money is on its way.
Why we compare total cost
Our starting point is the current mid-market rate. For each provider we apply its published fees and the margin it adds to the rate, which gives the amount the recipient receives. In total 1 providers are included, placed side by side.
The figures refresh every half hour, so the page reflects the market of October 31, 2026. Always check the final quote in the provider’s app or website, and it can differ slightly from our calculation.
GoldexPay is independent. We may earn a commission through some links. They have no influence on the order: the provider that delivers the most BRL comes first, whether or not we have a link to it.
One year of ETH to BRL
Across the last year, the price of ETH in BRL shows a change of -40.40%. During that year the top of the range was 20,929.52 BRL per ETH, and the lowest was 7,986.34. The current 12,189.69 is easy to place within that band.
The spread between the year’s extremes shows how much the rate can move in practice. For a bigger amount, the moment you choose can make a noticeable difference to what arrives, even when the fee stays the same.
Rates are pushed around by news, economic data and supply and demand on the market. The statistics here are historical, not a forecast. If timing matters to you, a rate alert is a calmer option than trying to predict the market.
Mid-market rate versus the rate you get
The majority of services will not give you the mid-market rate itself. They offer a rate that is a little less favourable and pocket the gap. People call this the markup. A markup of 2%, for example, means that about 2 out of every 100 ETH never reach the recipient.
On top of the margin, most banks ask for a separate fee. It may be a flat charge per payment, a share of what you send or both at once. On classic bank transfers abroad extra deductions can follow, so the recipient gets less than you expected.
Be wary of offers that say "no fees" or "0% commission". The cost often sits in the rate instead. The only fair way to compare is how much BRL the recipient ends up with for an identical ETH amount, and the comparison table on this page is ranked on exactly that.
How to get a better ETH to BRL rate
Compare the total cost, not the fee alone. A small fee on its own says little because the margin can make up the difference. What you want to know is the amount received, and that already includes both the markup and the fee.
If you pay or withdraw cash in a BRL country, you may be asked whether to pay in ETH or in the local currency. That option is known as dynamic currency conversion, or DCC. The rate used is usually poor. Always opt to pay in the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.
Watch the timing as well. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. For transfers that can wait, a rate alert or limit order lets you convert automatically once ETH/BRL reaches a level you choose. That avoids guessing, but the target may never be reached.
The payment method matters as well. A credit card may be treated as a cash advance by your card issuer, while a regular bank transfer to the provider is usually the cheapest way in. Combining several small payments into one larger transfer also cuts the impact of fixed fees.
