USDC to CNY explained
This page brings together the price relationship between USD Coin (USDC) and Chinese Yuan (CNY), together with what real providers charge to convert one into the other. On October 30, 2026, one USDC is worth 6.6551 CNY, while 1 CNY is worth 0.150261 USDC.
That headline number is the mid-market rate, sometimes called the interbank rate. It is calculated as the middle of what wholesale traders pay for USDC and what they ask for it. Treat it as the cleanest reference you can get: it contains no profit margin and no fees, so you rarely get it as a private customer.
What ends up on the CNY side is shaped by two things: the margin a provider adds to that rate and any fixed or percentage fee. Below the converter and chart we show how those costs are built up, put them side by side and give concrete ways to lose less on the exchange when you swap USD Coin for Chinese Yuan.
Recent movement in the USDC/CNY rate
Over the past twelve months, the price of USDC in CNY has changed by -6.42%. In that period the rate peaked at 7.1245 CNY per USDC, and the bottom of the range was 6.6551. The current 6.6551 sits somewhere inside that range.
That range between high and low puts the movement into real terms. For a bigger amount, the moment of conversion matters in actual money, occasionally more than the difference between providers.
Exchange rates respond to interest rate decisions, inflation figures, trade flows and general market sentiment. We show the figures as they are and do not make predictions. If timing matters to you, use an alert or limit order rather than a hunch.
Example: converting 1,000.00 USDC
Let’s use a conversion of 1,000.00 USDC. Converted at the pure mid-market rate (6.6551), that sum sets the ceiling for what is possible on the CNY side. No service pays out that exact figure, because margins and fees come off first.
Of the 1 providers we compared, Revolut came out cheapest for this amount and paid out 6,555.91 CNY at the time of our last update. Whatever is missing compared with the mid-market amount is the real price of the transfer.
Note that a different amount can produce a different winner. Fixed fees weigh heavily on small sums, while a percentage margin grows along with the amount. Run your own figure through the converter and check whether the order changes.
How we rank providers for USDC to CNY
We start from the live mid-market rate for USDC/CNY. We then apply each provider’s published fees and exchange rate margin, which gives the amount the recipient receives. In total 1 providers are included, so you can see the differences at a glance.
We update the rates every 30 minutes, so the page reflects the market of October 30, 2026. Providers confirm their own price at checkout, because their rate can move between our updates, especially when markets are busy.
We are not owned by any provider. Some links on this page are affiliate links, which help pay for the site. The order is never affected by them: the provider that delivers the most CNY comes first, whether or not we have a link to it.
Mid-market rate versus the rate you get
Nearly every bank and app will not give you the rate of 6.6551 as such. Instead they shift the rate in their own favour and pocket the gap. This is known as the spread. A markup of 2%, for example, means that about 2 out of every 100 USDC never reach the recipient.
On top of the margin, many providers charge an explicit fee. That can be a flat charge per payment, a share of what you send or a mix of both. On classic bank transfers abroad other banks along the route may take their own cut, so the recipient gets less than you expected.
Be wary of services that advertise free transfers. The cost often sits in the rate instead. What really counts is the total amount that arrives in CNY for an identical USDC amount, and that is the figure our table ranks on.
Converting USDC to CNY as a crypto pair
With crypto, the price you pay depends heavily on where you trade. On an exchange with an order book, you pay the difference between bid and ask, and a commission per trade. Easy buy buttons in apps usually quote a single price which hides a wider spread.
When you move crypto to or from your own wallet, there is a separate network charge. That fee does not depend on the amount, which makes small withdrawals relatively expensive. Always check which network a platform uses: a mismatch can mean the funds never arrive.
Crypto prices can move sharply within minutes. A quote is often only valid for a short moment, and big orders can fill at a worse price than shown. Treat the figure above as an indication.
Think about custody as well. On a platform, someone else manages the private keys, whereas self-custody means you alone can access, or lose, the funds. Check that a platform is registered or licensed with a financial regulator where you live.
Paying less when you change USDC into CNY
Look at the final amount, not just the fee. A provider with a low fee can still be expensive if the rate is poor. The fairest figure to compare is the amount received, and that already includes both margin and fee.
At foreign tills and cash machines, you can get a choice between your own currency and the local one. This is called dynamic currency conversion. It usually comes with a steep markup. Pick the local currency and let your own card provider do the conversion.
Watch the timing as well. At weekends, with the wholesale market shut, some services add an extra buffer to the rate. If you are not in a hurry, an alert tells you when the rate hits a level you are happy with. It saves you from checking the rate every day, though there is no guarantee the rate will get there.
Also check how you fund the transfer. Paying by credit card can trigger extra charges, and funding by bank transfer tends to keep costs down. Bundling smaller transfers means fixed charges hit you fewer times.
Staying safe with bigger USDC to CNY transfers
Only use providers that are regulated. A regulated provider is registered with a supervisor such as the FCA or your national central bank. Licensed payment firms must keep customer money separate from their own, which protects you if something goes wrong.
Verify every detail of the recipient. An international payment is hard to reverse once it is sent. Be suspicious if someone urges you to pay quickly or suddenly changes bank details. Verify through a channel you trust.
Larger transfers often come with additional questions. Providers may ask for proof of where the money comes from, like a statement or a sales contract. Some services offer better rates or a personal contact for larger transfers. Ask whether you can fix the rate in advance.
